The HYDROS Universe Grows With the New Control XD, Control X10, and Kraken.

CoralVue HYDROS is cultivating the future of aquarium automation with four new devices. The HYDROS universe now includes three new controllers, the Control XD, Control X10, and the Kraken. This growing aquarium controller brand also welcomes a new accessory for pH, Salinity, and Alkalinity testing, the HYDROS iV. The announcement was made at MACNA Milwaukee on September 9, 2022, at their HYDROS booth. Feedback from MACNA attendees about the new controllers has been overly welcoming and enthusiastic.

“We are excited to release the Kraken finally! This controller has been in the works for nearly three years, and it’s amazing to see it displayed on the MACNA show floor for all hobbyists to see,” says David D’Aquin, owner of CoralVue. “These new products are just a glimpse into what HYDROS has in store for the future as we continue to revolutionize aquarium automation.”

The Control XD is a compact yet powerful controller with three 12-volt DC Drive ports that can run dosing pumps, LED lights, fans, and more. It also includes a Power port providing another layer of redundancy to the Control system.

The Control X10 is a robust controller offering a whole new level of capabilities. Featuring four Sense ports, two Drive ports, a pH/ORP port, and Command Bus, the Control X10 also includes the new and highly desired Salinity probe port, four stepper dosing pumps, and can power other Control devices.

The HYDROS iV is a new Drive port accessory that acts as an isolated vessel for removing electrical noise from water samples resulting in highly accurate test results. It includes a beaker with a magnetic stirrer and provides isolated readings for sampled pH tests, sampled salinity tests, and alkalinity tests. It is compatible with Control X3, Control X4, and Control X10.

The Kraken is a HYDROS controller with a large heavy-duty industrial-grade power supply manufactured by Meanwell that can power up to eight 24V DC aquarium products, such as return pumps, flow pumps, aquarium lights, and much more. This allows unsightly power bricks to be removed from aquarium systems, significantly reducing wiring clutter. Additionally, Meanwell offers a 7-year warranty on its power supply. If that is not enough, the Kraken includes four 12V DC Drive ports and can be connected to a 12V lead acid battery for the ultimate system backup.

All new HYDROS devices are set to release in 2023.
