Hybrid reef lighting is a unique blend of metal halide high intensity discharge (HID) bulbs and florescent T-5 tubes, in the same fixture. This combination of depth-penetrating, extremely bright halide lighting plus the coral-stimulating properties of T-5 tubes provides a potent light source for SPS and LPS corals. We are proud to offer Giesemann hybrid reef lighting. Giesemann did more than just combine two light sources into one. They designed completely new light systems built around the hybrid concept. Infiniti fixtures use a unique, new reflector technology. The wide, deep mirrors provide a glare-free and evenly distributed PAR above the aquarium. Spectra fixtures place the perfect high-intensity spot right where you need it. If you’re a fan of LED and T-5 hybrids, Giesemann invented the T-5 – LED concept.
