SMT Operator

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator to join our electronics manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining SMT equipment used in the production of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for our HYDROS line of aquarium controllers and related electronic products. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision work, thrives in a production environment, and has a strong commitment to quality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor SMT equipment, including solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens
  • Load and unload PCBs and component reels/feeders in accordance with production schedules and work orders
  • Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks to ensure solder quality and component placement accuracy
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and SMT program documentation
  • Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or process deviations to the lead technician or supervisor
  • Perform basic equipment cleaning, preventive maintenance, and changeovers between product runs
  • Follow ESD (electrostatic discharge) handling procedures and all applicable safety standards
  • Maintain accurate production records and update workflow documentation as required
  • Assist with manual touch-up soldering or rework as needed
  • Support fellow technicians with final PCB assembly and packaging

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or Associate's Degree in Electronics or related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience operating SMT equipment in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with solder paste printing, pick-and-place, and reflow oven processes
  • Working knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610 preferred)
  • Basic computer literacy for production tracking and documentation
  • Ability to work with small electronic components and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and visual acuity

Inventory Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to join our team. As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular counts, and implementing procedures to optimize inventory control.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to inventory management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using inventory management software
  • Conduct regular physical counts of merchandise and reconcile with system records across all platforms
  • Monitor, record, and manage stock levels across multiple sales channels (online wholesale, parts, and outlet)
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and loss
  • Collaborate with purchasing and receiving teams to ensure accurate recording of incoming and outgoing merchandise

Shipping Clerk

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for picking, packaging, and shipping outgoing orders and verifying the accuracy of outgoing shipments. This position ensures all materials are properly labeled, documented, and shipped in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining company and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pick and pack, and ship outgoing shipments according to sales orders
  • Validate pick and record shipment contents, weights, and dimensions in ERP software
  • Create and print shipping labels and other required documentation
  • Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS) for pickups
  • Inspect and ensure products are properly packaged to prevent damage during transit
  • Maintain sales orders and inventory, check for accuracy, and report discrepancies
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely(ladders, pallet jacks, etc)
  • Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Assist in cycle counts and general warehouse duties as needed

Electronic Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Technician to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic systems and components. This position will require soldering of electronic components onto printed circuit boards for our Hydros Aquarium Controller System. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with circuit boards, wiring, testing equipment, and schematics. It will also require the final assembly of aquarium controller products. The job will also include repairing aquarium controllers, water pumps, LED lighting, and other products. Computer Skills required. Aquarium/pet hobbyist preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Read and comprehend instructions for circuit board assembly
  • Solder, inspect, and package circuit boards
  • Perform SMT soldering of printed circuit boards
  • Operate machinery in PCB areas, including SMT line and desoldering machine
  • Ensure that parts and boards are in good working order
  • Assemble as well as mount components onto printed circuit boards
  • Perform activities like twisting, bending, trimming, and stripping wire lead of components
  • Keep track of component parts
  • Install plastic insulating sleeves around wire leads
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair printed circuit boards in to ensure conformance
  • Handle customer return analysis and repair activities
  • Repairs and testing of equipment, including but not limited to aquarium controller, water pumps, water filters, and LED lighting; report findings to support personnel or possibly customers via our support portal.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience as an Electronic technician, Bench Technician, or similar
  • Strong Understanding of analog and digital circuits, PCB, and electronic components
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and technical manuals
  • Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, bench supplies, hot air rework stations, etc)
  • Soldering and circuit repair experience required
  • Basic computer literacy for documentation and workflow updates
