New IceCap Gyre Interface Module

Are you looking to connect your Maxspect Gyre pump to a full system controller such as the Apex by Neptune Systems or Reef Angel?

Ever since the Maxspect Gyre hit the market back in November 2014, the biggest question every body has been asking is “when will I be able to connect my gyre to a system controller?”

Well, the wait is almost over.  IceCap, the company best known for their lighting ballast and their brand new RODI Smart Water Filtration System has come out with the new Gyre Interface Module.

With this Module your aquarium controller will become the advanced controller with endless possibilities:

Want to change the Gyre’s flow pattern multiple times a day? You can create different profiles with different flow speeds and pulsing frequencies and have them automatically activate throughout the day.

This is the Apex Fusion cloud based control of the Apex controller.

What about changing the pulsing frequency of the gyre? Say, you want to program the gyre to run at 60% for 1 minute and then run at 20% for 30 seconds. Or program the pump to run at 100% for 15 seconds and then run at 50% for 2 minutes. It can all be done by programming it on your System Controller.

Do you have multiple gyres? Having each gyre connected to its own IceCap Module will allow you to turn off or ramp down one pump while the other pump does the opposite.

What about giving your fish and corals a break during the night? Now you can easily program the gyre to slow down during evening hours.

Create speed profiles and then automatically engage them at different time of the day.

Feeding time? You can create a feed profile that will allow you to slow down or completely turn off the gyre during the feeding cycle.

Do you have Maintenance profiles to easily control different products with the push of a single button? Add the gyre to that group and have it power down along with your other equipment.

The Gyre Interface Module is an after-market product that will allow you to hook up your Maxspect Gyre to most 3rd party controllers by using an available 0-10 volt port. This makes the Module very versatile and almost universally compatible with most controllers including the Apex by Neptune Systems or the Reef Angel among others.

Another great feature of the module is that it allows you to hook up your gyre to a backup battery. The module will automatically detect when main power is lost and will slow the gyre the 30% speed to extend the life of the battery.
