IceCap Premium Chloramine Removing Catalytic Carbon

This specialized GAC excels at removing organic contaminants and enhancing the removal of chlorine, chloramine, and hydrogen sulfide from tap water. Additional processing boosts its catalytic properties, crucial for eliminating weak oxidants like chloramines while effectively addressing organics, and taste from tap water. Approximately 1LB of catalytic carbon fills a standard 10in refillable reverse osmosis filter cartridge.

How to Use:

Reverse Osmosis Prefilter
Fill the refillable reverse osmosis cartridge with carbon and rinse until the water is clear. Insert the carbon-loaded cartridge into a prefilter canister positioned before the sediment filter. Remove or bypass the RO membrane and DI filter(s). Flush the filter for 5-10 minutes.

Aquarium or Pond
Utilize an up-flow media reactor with a flow rate of around 100gph, or in a fine filter bag or media basket. Rince media before use until the water runs clear.

Maintaining

It is recommended that carbon media be changed after 1000 gallons have been produced.*
