    • 100% Genuine OEM Factory Part: Distributed directly by CoralVue as a direct replacement sensor wire for second-generation Klir roller systems.
    • Redundant Triple-Prism Logic: Built with three stacked optical eyes—a primary trigger sensor at the bottom, a backup sensor in the middle, and a high-level warning sensor at the top.
    • Integrated Dual-Magnet Mount: Features high-strength internal neodymium magnetic cores encased in a waterproof jacket, clamping effortlessly through sump walls up to 1/2-inch thick.
    • Isolated Smart Level Alignment: Frees tracking functionality from the physical filter chassis, allowing you to position the sensor block anywhere in your sump's sock chamber.
    • Chemically Inert Construction: Sealed inside a dense, marine-grade polymer housing that will not crack, rust, leach chemical softeners, or upset your protein skimmer.

*Requires the Klir Fleece Filter V2 Controller to operate. It will not work with previous versions.

    Klir

Klir by CoralVue provides automatic fleece filters that replace filter socks. They automatically advance 50-micron fleece when dirty, maintaining clear water with less maintenance.

Klir Automatic Fleece Filter V2 Replacement Triple Optical Sensor

The Klir Automatic Fleece Filter V2 Replacement Triple Optical Sensor (SKU: CV-KLIR-V2SEN) is an authentic electronic OEM component distributed by CoralVue to preserve the precision tracking logic of your automated mechanical filtration network. Automatic drop-in fleece rollers eliminate the daily, messy chore of washing and swapping traditional cloth filter socks by slowly unrolling a 50-micron non-woven fabric mat across the drain path to capture waste before it decays. The primary trigger coordinating this entire process is this advanced optical multi-sensor array. Because aquarium cabinet sumps are harsh, high-humidity zones subject to persistent salt air, condensation, and splashing, electronic components face steady wear. If your original V2 sensor wire was pinched during hardware maintenance, developed micro-fractures along its internal copper threads, or suffered terminal failure from calcium scaling, your filter will stop advancing. Swapping a compromised line for this direct-fit factory original sensor wire immediately secures your loop.

Meticulously calibrated to strict manufacturer thresholds, the CV-KLIR-V2SEN introduces a redundant three-tier monitoring framework. The bottom optical prism serves as your primary trigger; when trapped detritus clogs the fleece, water backs up inside the tray and hits this eye, causing the controller to spin the motor for 7 seconds to bring down fresh fabric. Should the primary prism become blocked or compromised, the middle sensor seamlessly takes over operations. The top sensor acts as an absolute safety warning indicator, triggering controller alarms if an unexpected water line rise is detected. By moving away from the legacy V1 frame-mounted clip slots, this magnetic block mounts independently to your sump baffle, keeping your level settings precise and eliminating accidental fleece waste.

    Key Features

    • Prevents Dynamic Nutrient Creep: Automatically monitors rising water heights to lift saturated, foul-smelling organic waste completely out of the active water volume.

    • Friction-Fit Communications Jack: Assembled with a custom multi-pin communication terminal that seals tightly against the low-voltage sensor port of the master control module.

    • Frees System Space Constraints: Streamlined, low-profile block design fits inside tight custom sump configurations without crowding neighboring skimmers or heaters.

    • (Note: This retail SKU contains (1) standalone replacement V2 triple optical level sensor wire with its integrated wet-side magnetic housing and a dry-side magnetic backer. Gen 2 control modules, 12V DC motor blocks, replacement fleece spools, and power adapters are sold under separate product categories).

    What’s Included:

    1. Unplug your automatic fleece roller filter's electronic smart controller from the wall outlet to kill power and prevent any accidental motor cycles during maintenance.
    2. Disconnect the old sensor wire from the bottom of your controller box and slide the dry-side magnet away from your sump wall to free the old wet-side optical housing.
    3. Take a soft microfiber towel soaked in warm white vinegar and thoroughly clean the sump wall glass where the sensor sits to remove hard algae, salt creep, or calcified mineral scale.
    4. Unpack your fresh CV-KLIR-V2SEN optical sensor and align the square wet-side housing block at your desired water operating level inside the sump compartment. Note: Unlike old V1 models, this sensor is designed to be placed directly on the sump wall pane, not attached to the plastic roller chassis.
    5. Bring the external dry-side magnet up on the outside of the glass pane to lock the wet-side sensor firmly into position.
    6. Route the wire safely out of the sump, plug the multi-pin terminal end securely into your V2 controller box, plug the power supply back into a GFCI outlet, and check for a solid status light.

    Pro Tips:

    • Never Connect this V2 Optical Sensor into a Legacy V1 Control Box.
CRITICAL CHASSIS COMPATIBILITY WARNING: This second-generation tracking sensor (CV-KLIR-V2SEN) is built with updated internal wiring configurations designed strictly to interface with the Klir Fleece Filter V2 Controller (CV-KLIR-V2-CONTRL). It will not work if plugged into an older first-generation V1 control box. If you are upgrading an older V1 filter frame over to this magnetic tracking configuration, ensure you buy the complete Klir Fleece Filter V2 Upgrade Kit (CV-KLIR-V2-UPG), which bundles both the updated sensor and the necessary V2 controller module together.
    • Lift and Place the Magnets Directly to Avoid Scratching Acrylic Panels. When positioning this high-strength neodymium replacement block on an acrylic sump baffle, always lift and place the housing directly into position instead of sliding it across the surface. If a tiny grain of aragonite sand or a shard of dried salt creep gets trapped beneath the hard polymer casing, sliding the magnet across the wall will gouge a deep, permanent scratch into the plastic. This can cloud the view panel and disrupt the optical path of the infrared eyes.
    • Flick Trapped Micro-Bubbles Off the Prisms to Prevent Continuous Winding. Because this sensor sits submerged inside the highly turbulent water entry zone of your mechanical sock tray, avoid placing it directly under splashing drain lines or right next to a protein skimmer's micro-bubble output. High turbulence can trap tiny air bubbles on the face of the optical prisms. If a micro-bubble settles directly over the primary bottom eye, it will trick the controller into thinking the water level has risen, causing your motor to continuously roll and empty a fresh roll of fleece in a single day. Tap the side of the housing with your finger after submerging it to clear bubbles away.
