IceCap Gyre 4K Replacement Motor Block
Generating continuous, linear ocean currents in large marine and reef aquariums depends on a healthy, reliable wavemaker drive core. The IceCap Gyre 4K Motor Block (SKU: IC-4KDRV) is the official OEM replacement motor block designed specifically for the IceCap 4K Gyre Flow Pump. Continuous underwater operation, calcium buildup, or unexpected electrical surges can degrade internal drive stators over time, causing motor stalling or power connection failure.
This standalone replacement drive unit allows aquarists to replace a failed motor block without purchasing a completely new pump assembly. Built with high-purity, saltwater-resistant materials, the IC-4KDRV housing integrates seamlessly with your existing 4K cages, impellers, ceramic shafts, mounting brackets, and controller setups.

This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse, or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of the owner's or his agent's first knowledge of the defect.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given the first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements, or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary, or consequential damages of any nature, however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.

Installation & Replacement Guidelines:
Disconnect power to your IceCap Gyre controller and remove the pump assembly from the aquarium.
Twist and slide off both outer directional flow cages, ceramic shafts, and internal impellers from the old motor block.
Clean all reusable cage components and impellers in a citric acid bath to remove calcium buildup.
Slide the clean ceramic shafts, impellers, and directional cages onto the new IC-4KDRV motor block ports until locked in place.
Mount the refreshed pump back into the aquarium, connect the motor cable to the controller port, and restore power.
Pro Tips:
- Inspect Impeller Shafts During Motor Swap. When transferring your existing crossflow impellers and ceramic shafts to the new IC-4KDRV motor block, carefully check the shafts for cracks or scoring. Replacing chipped ceramic shafts alongside the new motor prevents premature rotor wear.
- Ensure Watertight Cable Connection. When plugging the motor block lead into your Gyre controller extension cord, make sure the threaded locking nut is tightened securely to prevent salt creep and moisture from entering the pin connections.
