When plumbed horizontally or vertically inside a stand or utility closet, the continuous vibration from high-turnover return pumps can cause unsecured housings to shift, sag, rattle, or chafe against nearby framework. - To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse, or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of the owner's or his agent's first knowledge of the defect.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given the first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements, or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary, or consequential damages of any nature, however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.

- Map out your plumbing path inside your aquarium cabinet or wall space, ensuring the power cord will easily reach a GFCI outlet with an integrated drip loop.
- Hold one of the fresh IP-UV-BRACK modules against your mounting board, pass a wood screw (not included) through the pre-drilled back flange slot, and tighten it down with a manual screwdriver.
- Use a level to line up the second bracket at a distance that matches the smooth tracking lanes of your UV housing body. Secure the second clamp tightly into place.
- Take your assembled IceCap UV Sterilizer body vessel and align it with the open jaws of the mounted brackets.
- Press the body barrel firmly into the brackets until the flexible polymer jaws flex outward and snap completely around the diameter of the cylinder.
- Verify that the ports point in the correct direction for your plumbing layout, link your intake/discharge plumbing lines to your water loop, and proceed with system operation.
Pro Tips:
- Mount the Sterilizer with the Electrical Ballast Cord Facing Upward to Expel Trapped Air. If you are using this bracket set to mount your inline UV sterilizer vertically on a cabinet wall, always orient the body shell so that the electrical wire end faces straight up toward the ceiling. Plumb your plumbing source so that water enters at the bottom port and exits through the top port. This layout forces any trapped micro-bubble air pockets inside the vessel to naturally purge back into your display tank. If you mount it upside down, air pockets can become trapped around the top of the quartz sleeve, causing internal hot spots that can warp the plastic casing and cause seals to fail prematurely.
- Hand-Tighten Mounting Screws to Avoid Cracking the ABS Base Flange. When attaching your fresh IP-UV-BRACK set to wooden stand panels or wall tracks, always sink your mounting screws using a manual hand screwdriver. Avoid using high-torque electric drills or power drivers. Over-driving a long metal screw into the recessed back slot with a power tool can easily crack or shear the plastic ABS mounting tab off the back of the bracket, rendering the clamp useless before it even holds water weight.
- Ensure At Least 12 to 36 Inches of Overhead Clearance for Stress-Free Maintenance. Before drilling your new brackets into a permanent position inside your stand, double-check your clearance room. Remember that every 12 months, you will need to slide the elongated high-output lamp out of the top core to change the bulb. If you mount the brackets right up against the ceiling of your cabinet stand, you will be forced to un-snap and replumb the entire sterilizer every time you perform a routine bulb change. Leaving a clear path above the unit allows for smooth, stress-free maintenance down the road.
