This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse, or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of the owner's or his agent's first knowledge of the defect.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given the first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements, or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary, or consequential damages of any nature, however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.

- Turn off your pump controller, disconnect the power leads, and lift the internal wet-side pump block completely out of the aquarium.
- Twist the front slotted flow cage counter-clockwise to unlock the tabs, then pull it forward and remove it from the motor frame.
- Grip the base of the exposed propeller firmly and pull it straight forward out of the cylindrical motor cavity.
- Carefully inspect the empty internal motor well for any trapped sand grains, coralline algae flakes, or shell debris. Rinse it thoroughly with fresh water.
- Slide the new ROP-OP2-IMP replacement impeller directly down into the center opening of the motor well until the magnetic pull seats it completely.
- Re-align the tabs of your front flow cage, twist it clockwise to lock it back onto the pump housing, and return the wavemaker to the glass.
Pro Tips:
- Watch Out for the Sudden Magnetic Pull During Assembly. The rare-earth magnets inside the Octo Pulse 2 are exceptionally strong. When sliding your new impeller assembly into the motor well, hold it firmly by the plastic propeller tips. As the magnet gets close to the internal housing coils, it will suddenly snap down into the cavity with force. Keep your grip steady and guide it in gently so the ceramic shaft does not slam hard against the rear bushing and crack.
- Check Your Rubber End Bushings When Swapping. When removing an old, broken, or locked-up impeller, look closely at the tiny rubber cushions that cap each end of the ceramic shaft. These small dampening pads sometimes get stuck inside the very bottom of the motor housing or inside the front cage alignment hole. Make sure these pads are correctly positioned on the tips of the shaft before buttoning up your assembly to prevent rattles and friction wear.
- Use a Simple White Vinegar Soak for Stubborn Scale. If you are performing maintenance because your current impeller is spinning slowly or throwing a stall error on the controller, soak the entire removed pump head in a container of lukewarm white vinegar for 30 minutes. Vinegar dissolves the tough calcium carbonate scale and coralline algae that binds up the ceramic shaft. This makes pulling the old impeller assembly out much easier and prevents structural scratches.
