CoralVue, Inc. and Reef Octopus hereby guarantee this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of:
- Five (5) year warranty on pump body/housing
- Three (3) year warranty on Reef Octopus-branded controller
- One (1) year warranty on Power Supply, Impeller (and components), Rotor, Rear Bushing, and Gaskets
Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.
This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
Verify the VarioS-6S pump is seated securely inside the body and the venturi is properly attached.
Place the skimmer in your sump, maintaining a water depth between 7.5 and 8 inches.
Mount the float switch into the collection cup lid and connect it to the VarioS controller.
Connect the pump to the controller and plug in the power supply.
Set the pump speed to Level 3 for the initial break-in period.
Adjust the geared gate valve until the water level reaches the transition point of the neck.
Allow 14–21 days of break-in time before final performance tuning.
Pro Tips:
- Hard Plumbing Note. The Regal 250-SSS uses a 50mm Metric output. To ensure the easiest maintenance in tight sumps, we recommend using a 50mm Metric Union to connect the skimmer's drain to your sump plumbing.
- Pump Maintenance. Because the pump is housed inside the body, organic debris or small snails can sometimes get trapped. We recommend a full teardown and vinegar soak of the VarioS-6S every 6 months to ensure the motor remains silent and at peak efficiency.
- Controller Calibration. If using a 0-10V controller, remember that speed 1 on the VarioS is roughly 2V. Calibrate your Apex or GHL profile to operate within the 2V–10V range to ensure the pump always maintains a stable head of pressure.
