By housing the high-performance VarioS-6S DC controllable pump inside the substantial 12-inch wine-glass body, this skimmer provides the processing power of a commercial unit within a significantly smaller footprint.
Engineering a 12-inch skimmer for space efficiency requires a perfect balance of air intake and turbulence control. The Regal 300-SSS utilizes its massive body volume to stabilize the air-rich foam, while the VarioS controller allows the user to digitally fine-tune the pump's output to match the system’s specific bioload. Constructed from premium cast acrylic and featuring a precision geared gate valve, the Regal 300-SSS is built to handle the heavy biological demands of systems up to 740 gallons with industrial reliability and modern smart features.

WARRANTY
CoralVue, Inc. and Reef Octopus hereby guarantee this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of:
- Five (5) year warranty on pump body/housing
- Three (3) year warranty on Reef Octopus-branded controller
- One (1) year warranty on Power Supply, Impeller (and components), Rotor, Rear Bushing, and Gaskets
Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.
This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Ensure the VarioS-6S pump is correctly seated on the internal mounts and the bubble plate is secure.
- Place the skimmer in your sump, targeting a water depth of approximately 8 inches.
- Mount the float switch in the collection cup lid and connect it to the VarioS controller.
- Connect the pump to the controller and plug in the power supply.
- Set the pump speed to Level 3 for the initial break-in period.
- Adjust the geared gate valve until the foam line reaches the transition of the body and neck.
- Allow a 21-day break-in period for the acrylic and foam to fully stabilize.
Pro Tips:
- Metric Drainage. The Regal 300-SSS utilizes a 50mm Metric output. For large-scale installations, we recommend using a 50mm Metric Union to connect the skimmer's drain to your sump system, ensuring the unit remains easy to remove for annual deep cleaning.
- Pump Maintenance. Because the pump is housed inside the massive body, periodic inspection is important to ensure no debris has bypassed the intake screen. Perform a full teardown and vinegar soak of the VarioS-6S pump every 6 months to maintain peak efficiency and silence.
- Automated Neck Cleaning. Managing a 7-inch neck can be labor-intensive. To maintain maximum efficiency between cup cleanings, we highly recommend pairing this unit with a Reef Octopus Automatic Neck Cleaner (ANC) to keep the inner neck free of organic buildup.
