- Disconnect the main electronic power cable leading to your Octo Pulse 4 wavemaker pump before placing your hands in the water.
- Hold the internal wet-side pump assembly securely with one hand while using your remaining hand to slide the dry-side exterior magnet away from the glass.
- Decouple the pump's main motor body from the rear spherical cradle socket of the old, worn, or damaged inside magnet mount.
- Clean the target glass location thoroughly using an aquarium-safe scraper pad to ensure a level, detritus-free mounting area.
- Push the ball-joint stem on the back of your existing Octo Pulse 4 pump block straight into the socket housing of the new ROP-OP4-WSMAG mount until it clicks.
- Submerge the updated assembly, hold it flat against the inside glass surface, and slowly slide the dry-side outer magnet back into alignment from the outside.
Pro Tips:
- Never Let Magnet Halves Snap Together Abruptly. The rare-earth magnets inside the Octo Pulse series generate immense directional clamping force. When reinstalling your pump on the display tank, never allow the wet-side inner magnet and dry-side outer magnet to violently snap together over the glass pane. This high impact can instantly shatter your tank's glass wall or crack the sealed plastic housing of your new replacement part. Always gently slide the outer backing into alignment from a distance.
- Clean Out Trapped Substrate Material Regularly.
