The IceCap ATO Sensor Holder (SKU: IP-ATO-HLDR) is the official OEM replacement sensor cradle clip designed specifically for IceCap Auto Top Off Systems. Over time, handling during routine maintenance or exposure to harsh sump environments can cause plastic clips to become brittle, lose tension, or crack.
This replacement holder snaps snugly around the optical sensor block, providing a rigid housing that attaches to the wet-side magnet mount. By holding the optical prism in precise alignment with the water surface, it eliminates sensor wobble and tilt, ensuring clean infrared reflection off the water line to prevent false low-level triggering or pump chatter.

Installation & Set-Up Guidelines:
Turn off power to your IceCap ATO system and lift the optical sensor assembly out of the sump.
Unsnap the damaged or worn sensor holder clip from the optical sensor block and wet-side magnet.
Align the new IP-ATO-HLDR clip over the optical sensor body, ensuring the clear sensing prism remains entirely unobstructed.
Snap the holder firmly onto the wet-side mounting magnet cradle until fully engaged.
Place the sensor array back against the interior sump wall, align with the dry-side magnet, and restore system power.
Pro Tips:
- Keep Prism Free of Obstructive Plastic. When seating the sensor inside the holder, verify that the clip edges do not extend over the clear optical prism faces. Any plastic overhang can reflect infrared light back into the sensor, causing false high-water readings.
- Clean During Monthly Maintenance. Periodically slide the sensor out of the bracket to remove any trapped organic detritus, bacterial film, or micro-bubbles that can collect in the crevices around the holder.
