IceCap Reef Sump Blue Dosing Tubes with Connectors
Automating daily calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, and trace element additions is essential for stable coral calcification, but routing flexible dosing lines into a sump often results in disorganized tubing and chemical precipitation. The IceCap Sump Blue Dosing Tubes with Connectors (SKU: IP-RS-TUBE) are the official OEM replacement rigid pass-through dosing tubes engineered specifically for IceCap Reef Sumps (RS-15, RS-24, RS-30, RS-36, 36XL, and 48XL).
IceCap Reef Sumps feature pre-drilled dosing brackets built directly into the acrylic frame above the return or high-flow skimmer chambers. The IP-RS-TUBE assembly installs directly into these port openings, providing a firm quick-connect bulkhead on top and a rigid blue drop tube below. By transitioning flexible silicone or polyethylene lines to a rigid down-tube, this assembly keeps dosing tips oriented straight downward into turbulent water, preventing droplets from clinging to acrylic sump walls or causing premature carbonate precipitation. Over time, original dosing tubes can crack during maintenance, become heavily scaled with calcium deposits, or be lost during aquarium relocations. Installing an authentic IP-RS-TUBE set restores organized, factory-grade dosing integration.
Ideal Replacement Scenario
If your current sump dosing tubes have snapped, stripped their push-fit collar grips, become permanently clogged with mineral crust, or were misplaced during a sump setup, installing authentic IP-RS-TUBE components restores tidy, reliable supplement delivery.
(Note: Package includes IceCap Blue Rigid Dosing Tubes with integrated push-fit connection hardware).

Installation & Replacement Guidelines:
Depress the release collet on the existing sump dosing bracket connector and pull out the worn or damaged tube assembly.
Clean any salt residue or dried chemical buildup from the sump mounting bracket holes.
Slide the new IP-RS-TUBE assembly through the pre-drilled dosing bracket ports on your IceCap Reef Sump until seated securely.
Insert your external 1/4-inch OD dosing lines firmly into the upper push-connect fittings until they pass the internal O-ring and lock in place.
Confirm that the lower tube outlets extend straight down into a high-flow water area, positioned above the water surface to avoid back-siphoning.
Pro Tips:
Keep Tube Tips Above the Waterline. Always position the discharge tips of the rigid dosing tubes at least 1/2 to 1 inch above the highest operational water line. Submerging dosing tube tips creates a direct liquid-to-liquid contact point that promotes localized calcium carbonate clogging and can allow sump water to back-siphon into your additive reservoirs.
Clean Tube Tips During Doser Calibrations. Concentrated alkalinity solutions naturally develop dry crystalline rings around tube orifices over time. Whenever you perform quarterly dosing pump calibrations, submerge the lower tips of the blue dosing tubes in warm citric acid or RO water for a few minutes to dissolve any mineral buildup and maintain free-flowing delivery.
