Left uncovered, this mist causes heavy salt creep that corrodes cabinet hardware and risks damaging sensitive electronic controllers. Lid 1 rests securely in the recessed ledge over the drain drop and dual 4-inch filter sock chamber. It directs rising condensation back into the sump while substantially muffling turbulent drain rushing. Installation & Replacement Guidelines:
Lift away any remnants of the damaged or broken lid from the sump rim.
Wipe the recessed perimeter ledge of the RS-24 intake section with a damp microfiber cloth to remove salt creep and debris.
Rinse the replacement IP-RS24-L1 cover plate with fresh RO/DI water to clear packing dust.
Set the lid squarely into the recessed seating rim above the intake socks, verifying it sits completely flat.
