IceCap Nano 1500 Flow Pump Replacement Controller

Delivering broad, variable water movement in small aquariums requires dedicated electronic motor regulation to prevent sand displacement or direct coral tissue irritation. The IceCap Nano 1500 Flow Pump Controller (SKU: IC-WM-CTL) is the official OEM replacement multi-mode wavemaker controller designed specifically for the IceCap Nano-1500 400 GPH Controllable Flow Pump (IC-PROP-N1500 / IC-WM1500M).

Small reef and freshwater planted tanks require balanced water motion that mimics natural currents without overwhelming compact volumes. The Nano 1500 controller gives aquarists complete control over the pump's DC motor, featuring multiple flow presets—such as steady stream, oscillating pulsing waves, and randomized ocean turbulence. It also includes an integrated feed mode that temporarily shuts down flow to keep fish food and coral target feeds from getting swept into filtration compartments. Replacing a worn or malfunctioning controller with the authentic IC-WM-CTL restores factory programmability and protects pump motor longevity.

    Ideal Replacement Scenario

If your Nano-1500 controller suffers from unlit status LEDs, unresponsive push buttons, erratic speed surges, or moisture corrosion from aquarium humidity, installing an authentic IC-WM-CTL restores complete flow programmability.

    WARRANTY

CoralVue, Inc. hereby guarantees this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of:

    • One (1) year warranty on the device body/housing
    • One (1) year warranty on dosing pump motor (not dosing head(s))
    • Tubing, head rollers, and head bushings are considered wearable parts because they experience regular friction, pressure, and use over time, leading to natural degradation. Since these components are expected to wear out during normal operation, they are not covered under the limited warranty.

Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.

This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:

    • To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
    • To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse, or abuse.
    • To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
    • That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of the owner's or his agent's first knowledge of the defect.
    • That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given the first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements, or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
    • Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary, or consequential damages of any nature, however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.

    Installation & Replacement Guidelines:

    1. Disconnect the power adapter from the electrical outlet to ensure the equipment is fully depowered.

    2. Unthread or disconnect the cables linking the existing controller to the power supply and the pump motor.

    3. Remove the old controller from the cabinet or aquarium stand mounting surface.

    4. Mount the replacement IC-WM-CTL controller in a dry, well-ventilated space isolated from salt spray.

    5. Firmly attach the pump lead and power supply cable into the matching quick-disconnect jacks on the new unit.

    6. Reconnect the power adapter to the wall outlet and select your desired operating mode and flow intensity.

    Pro Tips:

    • Mount in a Dry Cabinet Zone with Drip Loops. Aquarium wavemaker controllers house sensitive micro-circuitry that must remain dry. Always position the controller in a dry equipment compartment away from sump mist, and form drip loops on all cables so water droplets cannot follow the wire down into the connection ports.
    • Tune Pulse Frequency to Tank Dimensions. When running the controller in Pulse Mode, slowly adjust the interval dial until the water pulse matches the natural resonance of your tank. Finding this balance produces an energy-efficient standing wave without causing excessive motor wear.
