The IceCap ATO Inside/Outside Magnets set (SKU: IP-ATO-MAG) is the official OEM replacement magnetic mounting assembly designed specifically for IceCap Auto Top Off Systems. If your original mounting magnet was misplaced during a system move, cracked, or dropped, this factory replacement set restores stable sensor placement on sump and aquarium walls.
This complete set includes both the wet-side sensor cradle magnet and the matching exterior dry-side magnet block. Encased in high-impact, saltwater-safe ABS plastic, the high-strength neodymium magnets provide clamping force across glass or acrylic panels up to 1/2" thick. By keeping the optical sensor securely locked at your desired water level line, it prevents false triggering, pump chatter, and accidental sump overfills.

Installation & Set-Up Guidelines:
Turn off power to your IceCap ATO system and clean the interior and exterior sump glass where the sensor will be placed.
Snap your IceCap optical level sensor array securely into the wet-side magnet cradle.
Place the wet-side magnet and sensor against the interior sump glass at your target high-water line.
Align the IP-ATO-MAG dry-side magnet on the exterior glass opposite the wet-side cradle, sliding it into place to couple the magnets.
Restore power to your ATO system and verify that the optical sensor detects water line changes properly.
Pro Tips:
- Slide Magnets into Position. When installing, never slap the dry magnet directly against the glass opposite the wet-side magnet. Place the dry magnet a few inches away on the exterior glass and slide it toward the sensor until the magnetic attraction engages. This prevents cracking thin sump walls or pinching fingers.
- Keep Optical Prism Clean. Periodically wipe down the clear optical prism on the wet-side sensor with a soft cloth or toothbrush during routine maintenance. Removing coralline algae or bacterial film prevents false low-water readings and erratic top-off cycles.
