WARRANTY
CoralVue, Inc. hereby guarantees this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of:
- One (1) year warranty on the device body/housing
- One (1) year warranty on dosing pump motor (not dosing head(s))
- Tubing, head rollers, and head bushings are considered wearable parts because they experience regular friction, pressure, and use over time, leading to natural degradation. Since these components are expected to wear out during normal operation, they are not covered under the limited warranty.
Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.
This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse, or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of the owner's or his agent's first knowledge of the defect.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given the first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements, or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary, or consequential damages of any nature, however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
Installation & Set-Up Guidelines:
Plug the male 3-prong power cord of the OCT-STD-120 into your wall outlet, surge protector, or aquarium controller socket.
Plug your protein skimmer pump's power supply directly into the female receptacle on the OCT-STD-120 module.
Secure the compact control module in a dry under-cabinet location elevated above any potential splash zones.
When power is applied, the status LED will illuminate to indicate the 5-minute timer countdown is active.
After 5 minutes, the module automatically routes full electrical power to the skimmer pump, resuming normal operation.
Pro Tips:
- Ideal for Automated Feed Cycles. If you turn off your return pump during feeding using a basic timer or manual switch, plug the Auto Time Delay into the same power strip. When you turn the power strip back on, your return pump will start immediately, while the skimmer will safely wait 5 minutes until the sump level drops.
- Mount Outside the Sump Room Humidity Zone. To ensure maximum electronic lifespan, mount the module housing on the inside stand wall above water level using mounting tape or screws, keeping the cord connections clean and free from salt creep.
- Verify Pump Wattage Before Installation. The OCT-STD-120 is rated for a maximum load of 120 Watts. While this easily covers almost all residential skimmer pumps (which typically draw between 10W and 60W), check your pump label to verify it does not exceed 120W before connecting.
