The Reef Octopus Octo Pulse+ WiFi Controller (SKU: OCT-OP-CONT) is an intelligent, high-performance central command module designed as a direct replacement or upgrade for the Octo Pulse series wavemaker pumps. Rather than restricting you to primitive mechanical dials, this advanced replacement interface serves as a dual-pump automated driver. It manages up to two separate Octo Pulse powerheads (compatible with both Octo Pulse 2 and Octo Pulse 4 pump heads) simultaneously. By consolidating your powerheads into a singular automated hub, it removes equipment overlap under your aquarium stand and establishes seamless synchronization across your display's water columns.
Through embedded 2.4GHz WiFi cloud connectivity, this controller interfaces directly with the intuitive OCTO Mobile App (available for iOS and Android devices). Within the app interface, you can build intricate 24-hour flow schedules, adjust minimum and maximum motor percentages, and coordinate natural ocean patterns. The controller fully supports multi-pump operational rules, allowing you to run paired pumps in perfect synchronization or alternating anti-sync configurations. Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.
This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Secure the plastic wall docking cradle to the interior dry wall of your equipment cabinet using standard mounting screws.
- Slide the Octo Pulse+ WiFi Controller safely into the mounted cradle clips.
- Plug your existing Octo Pulse wave pump waterproof connections into Port 1 and Port 2 located at the bottom base of the controller.
- Insert your default 24V DC power supply adapter line into the central power receptacle of the controller.
- Download the OCTO App to your smartphone, verify your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz home network, and launch the configuration wizard to pair the device.
- Once synced, name your pump channels and configure your custom speed rules, intervals, and feed modes within the mobile dashboard.
Pro Tips:
- Utilize Anti-Sync Configuration. When operating two Octo Pulse pumps via this shared controller, always set them up in an Anti-Sync sequence inside the app. By programming Pump 1 to ramp up to peak velocity while Pump 2 drops to low idle, you generate a natural back-and-forth sloshing movement across your rockwork, completely eliminating stubborn detritus dead spots.
- Drip Loops Save Electronics. Always shape a pronounced "drip loop" along every power line and pump connection wire right before it enters the controller ports. This simple physical curve ensures that if any salt water or moisture accidentally runs down the cables during routine tank maintenance, it will harmlessly drip onto the floor instead of migrating straight into sensitive electronic boards.
- 2.4GHz Network Mandatory. Like most automated smart aquarium components, the Octo Pulse+ Controller requires a true 2.4GHz WiFi connection to pair. If your home router broadcasts a combined single "Dual-Band" 2.4GHz/5GHz mesh signal, temporarily log into your router's administrative backend to separate the bands or disable the 5GHz broadcast for a few minutes while running the initial device handshake.
