Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.
This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Turn off your protein skimmer's main pump array and wipe away any loose collection foam or waste accumulation around the top rim of your cup.
- Remove the original factory stock acrylic lid from your large 12-inch collection cup and store it safely for future backup use.
- Align the new 12-inch C2C-300 lid over the collection cup mouth and slide it smoothly into place to verify a snug, even seat.
- Attach one side of a flexible air line hose directly onto the integrated barb or nozzle fitting on the top surface of the new lid.
- Guide the remaining loose end of that hose line straight to the input manifold or base chamber nozzle of your external CO2 Scrubber Reactor.
- Restart your skimmer injection system, check all connection junctions to confirm zero air blockages, and enjoy an optimized closed-loop system.
Pro Tips:
- Confirm Your Cup Diameter Across Series Boundaries. Reef Octopus scales their skimmers carefully by matching specific cup numbers to matching body diameters. The C2C-300 is configured exclusively to mount securely over a 12-inch external cup track, perfectly servicing large-scale 300-level and 6000-level skimmers. If you run a smaller 200 or 250-level footprint, do not attempt to force this model to fit. Check your model number first and match it to the specific C2C companion lid layout.
- Keep the Air Barbs Clean of Skimmate Backlog. Because this lid operates directly over an active collection vortex, vigorous skimming cycles can occasionally throw wet foam and organic waste upwards onto the underside of the cover. During your weekly collection cup cleanings, run warm freshwater directly through the lid's integrated air nozzle ports. Ensuring this pathway stays completely free of dried organic buildup prevents restriction points that can choke your skimmer pump's air draw.
- Avoid Extreme Tubing Kinks. When routing the air hose line from your newly installed 12-inch lid to the intake track of your media chamber, keep the loop loose with gentle, radiused arcs. Bending flexible vinyl or silicone tubing at harsh right angles will severely pinch the air path. This restriction starves the skimmer venturi of necessary air injection volume, causing the internal water level within the main skimmer cylinder to rise rapidly and potentially trigger an overflow.
