This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Disconnect the broken or damaged power brick from your wall socket or surge protector strip before touching any cords.
- Unplug the small male barrel connector pin of the old power supply from the power receiving jack located at the base of your Octo Pulse controller.
- Inspect your active controller ports to ensure no residual moisture, salt crust, or dust has gathered inside the input terminal.
- Insert the direct current barrel plug of the new GM25-240100-D power supply firmly into the bottom port of the controller until it seats completely.
- Connect your wall-side AC power cable to the receiving block of the new transformer brick.
- Plug the main power cord back into your wall outlet or surge protector, and verify that the LED indicator lights on your controller activate normally.
Pro Tips:
- Always Use a "Drip Loop" on Your Control Cables. When mounting your replacement power brick inside your wooden aquarium stand, make sure to form a distinct downward sag—a drip loop—in the cords leading to the electronics. If condensation, stray leaks, or salt creep ever track down the power line, the loop forces the liquid to pool at the lowest point of the wire and drip harmlessly onto the floor rather than running directly into electrical connection ports.
- Elevate Your Power Bricks Off the Cabinet Floor. Never let your heavy power supply bricks sit directly on the floor of your aquarium stand. If an open sump ever overflows, or if a plumbing union leaks, water will instantly pool on the bottom shelf and submerge any flat-lying electronics. Use a secure mounting cradle, heavy-duty hook-and-loop strips, or plastic mounting brackets to attach the power supply up high on a vertical cabinet wall to keep it dry.
- Ensure Adequate Airspace for Proper Cooling. Like all electronic step-down transformers, this power supply releases heat through its composite exterior shell while working to lower input voltage. Avoid stuffing the brick into small, enclosed plastic boxes or burying it under piles of aquarium towels and filtration pads.
