Klir by CoralVue provides automatic fleece filters that replace filter socks. They automatically advance 50-micron fleece when dirty, maintaining clear water with less maintenance.

Klir Automatic Fleece Filter Dual-Unit Electronic Y-Adapter Splitter Cable

The Klir Automatic Fleece Filter Dual-Unit Electronic Y-Adapter Splitter Cable (SKU: CV-KLIR-YCBL) is an authentic electronic OEM integration component distributed by CoralVue to maximize equipment efficiency and organize complex under-stand wiring loops in large-scale marine reef aquariums and high-volume multi-drain filtration systems. High-capacity aquariums often rely on dual overflow boxes or split plumbing layouts that dump raw drain water into two separate filter sock openings inside the sump. While you can easily drop a Klir automatic fleece roller into each opening to replace those messy cloth socks, managing separate control boxes, individual power supplies, and multiple level sensors can quickly clutter your cabinet spaces and exhaust your available power strip sockets. This premium Y-cable completely resolves that limitation by bridging both low-voltage drive loops into a single cohesive, synchronized control unit.

Manufactured to strict commercial wiring specifications, the CV-KLIR-YCBL splits the low-voltage 12V DC power output coming from your primary control box into two balanced terminal leads. When the optical water level sensor detects rising head pressure from clogged 50-micron fleece, the master controller fires a single, clean electrical pulse through this splitter. Both high-torque planetary gear motors engage simultaneously, advancing fresh, clean media across both filter tracks in perfect unison. By utilizing this heavy-gauge factory adapter loop, you ensure that your motors draw balanced amperage without over-straining the core circuitry or causing signal voltage drops.

    Key Features

    • Cleans Up Cabinet Wire Clutter: Eliminates secondary power bricks and лишние sensor wires, freeing up critical plug spaces on your battery backup units.

    • Maintains Balanced Amperage Delivery: Internal heavy-duty copper copper pathways handle the combined structural startup torque of two motors without dropping voltage.

    • Maintains Absolute Sump Safety: Relies entirely on low-voltage DC current and chemical-resistant insulation, ensuring it will never affect water safety or cause skimmer bubbles.

    • (Note: This retail SKU contains (1) standalone electronic Y-splitter cable array. Automatic roller chassis bodies, replacement 50-micron fleece rolls, electronic control boxes, and 12V AC/DC power adapters are sold under separate product categories).

    1. Unplug your automatic fleece roller filter's electronic smart controller from the wall outlet to completely kill all electricity to the under-stand loop.
    2. Secure both your primary and secondary Klir filter bodies inside neighboring 4-inch or 7-inch filter sock tray openings beneath your tank.
    3. Plug the single male barrel plug end of the CV-KLIR-YCBL Y-Cable directly into the power output cord running out of your main controller box.
    4. Route the two split female barrel leads of the Y-cable over to your filters, and connect each lead firmly into the short power cords trailing from the 12V DC motor blocks.
    5. Place your single optical triple level sensor securely into the primary filter chassis, or along the target sump baffle wall, to manage the shared water line.
    6. Verify all connections are pushed tightly together with deep drip loops formed, plug the power brick back into a GFCI outlet, and press the manual button to confirm both spools advance together.
    Pro Tips:
    • Always Incorporate a Loose Wire Drip Loop to Block Creeping Moisture. When routing this splitter cable bundle underneath your stand, never pull the wire lines completely taut or leave the split connectors resting directly over an open water zone. Sump chambers experience massive daily evaporation and splashing. Always allow the cable leads to sag downward into a loose, U-shaped drop loop before heading up to the electronics box. Creeping moisture will slide down to the bottom of the loop and drip off harmlessly rather than tracking into the metal terminal pins.
    • Only Install One Level Sensor to Manage the Entire Linked Assembly. When running two separate rollers off this single Y-cable splitter loop, you must only connect one optical level sensor into the primary master controller box. The controller cannot process dual inputs. Since both filter rollers drop into the exact same shared filter sock chamber or sump partition, the water line will rise uniformly inside both frames simultaneously when the fleece rolls get dirty. The single sensor will effortlessly trigger both motors to clear the bypass in perfect synchronization.
    • Manually Match Media Tensions When Threading Fresh Spools. Every time you refresh your 50-yard rolls of fleece on a dual-system setup, take an extra moment to verify that both rolls are threaded with equal manual tension before firing up the automation circuit. If one roll has substantial slack while the other is pulled tight, the loose roll will cycle less material during the controller's standard 7-second advance window. Over time, this causes the rolls to track unevenly, wasting media and potentially triggering false safety timeout alarms on the loose unit.
