- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse, or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of the owner's or his agent's first knowledge of the defect.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given the first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements, or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary, or consequential damages of any nature, however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.

- Turn off your hang-on back skimmer's power cable to let the active foam column settle inside the neck cavity.
- Remove your old cracked or warped clear lid from the collection cup rim and discard it safely.
- Use a soft cloth or an aquarium-safe sponge to wipe away any dried salt creep, detritus, or algae from the top rim of your existing collection cup.
- Align the recessed lower lip of your new ROP-CL-BH1000 clear lid with the internal diameter of the clear cup opening.
- Press the lid down evenly until it seats flat against the acrylic edge of the collection basin.
- Reactivate your Aquatrance pump controller and observe the venting paths to make sure air flows freely while foam is contained.
Pro Tips:
- Clean the Air Vent Holes Every Few Months. As bubbles continuously pop right against the underside of the lid, a fine layer of organic sludge and salt crust will eventually accumulate inside the tiny ventilation holes. If these pathways become completely blocked by dried salt creep, it will restrict the airflow within the skimmer body and cause irregular foaming or sudden overflows. Simply rinse the lid under warm tap water every few weeks and clear out the vents with a soft toothbrush.
- Avoid Harsh Household Chemical Sprays. When performing a deep clean on your skimmer components, never spray the clear lid with window cleaners, rubbing alcohol, or household aerosols. Chemical solvents cause acrylic to undergo "crazing," a process that develops thousands of tiny microscopic cracks through the material, rendering it brittle and cloudy. Stick to pure fresh water or a warm soak in a citric acid solution to melt away tough calcium scale safely.
- Clear Film Creep to Keep a Crystal-Clear View. Because the lid is clear, organic skim oil can occasionally coat the underside, turning it slightly yellow or brown and clouding your view into the riser neck. Wipe the underside of the lid down with a wet paper towel during your standard cup-emptying routine. Keeping the lid perfectly clean ensures you never lose that easy visual confirmation of how your foam is breaking.
