- Apply a liberal coat of heavy-duty solvent cement to both components.
- Push the cap onto the pipe and rotate slightly (approx. 1/4 turn) to ensure even glue distribution.
- Hold firmly for 45–60 seconds. Allow at least 4–6 hours of cure time before introducing high-pressure water.
Pro Tips:
- Metric vs. Standard 2-Inch. A 50mm metric cap will not fit standard 1.5" or 2" USA Schedule 40/80 pipe. 50mm is approximately 1.97 inches, while standard US 2" pipe has an outer diameter of 2.375 inches. Always verify your pipe size with a caliper before beginning a commercial installation.
