    • Cross-Spec Hybrid Splicing: Integrates a standard 1/2" imperial male threaded fitting or sensor probe directly into a straight 20mm metric rigid PVC pipeline.
    • Dual Smooth Slip Sockets: Built with two straight 20mm inline female slip ports designed to chemically weld onto standard 20mm metric rigid pipe.
    • Aquarium-Grade Dark Gray Finish: Modeled from professional high-purity uPVC that blends neatly with standard commercial marine sumps and custom manifold layouts.
    • 100% Reef Safe Construction: Free from volatile heavy metal stabilizers and harmful plasticizers, making it safe for delicate marine corals, fish, and invertebrates.
    • Reinforced Branch Collar: Features an extra-thick molded collar ring around the threaded branch outlet to resist structural stress cracking from over-tightening.

CoralVue 20mm Metric Female Tee Fitting (SKU: PVC-FTEE-20)

The CoralVue 20mm Metric Female Tee Fitting (SKU: PVC-FTEE-20) is a crucial fluid management component engineered to splice secondary monitoring equipment, mechanical sensors, or auxiliary water lines into rigid 20mm metric pipelines. When building custom marine filtration manifolds, placing probe holders, chemical dosing lines, or temperature sensors directly in-line often requires bulky transitions. The PVC-FTEE-20 streamlines this design, combining a straight 20mm metric line run with a dedicated 1/2" threaded branch port in a compact, one-piece three-way layout.

Molded to exact aquatic distribution standards, this dark gray tee features two smooth 20mm metric slip sockets on the straight run and a female threaded outlet branch matching standard 1/2" imperial thread profiles. The smooth slip ports are precision-tapered to slide cleanly over 20mm metric rigid pipes for a permanent, leak-free solvent-welded joint. The branch outlet features precise internal threads, making it easy to screw in removable probes, sample valves, or secondary reactors. This hybrid configuration keeps plumbing manifolds organized inside cramped cabinet spaces while reducing overall leak paths.

    Key Features

    • Molded Internal Pipe Stops: The inline slip ports contain integrated landing shoulders that ensure consistent pipe insertion depth for strong, balanced solvent welds.

    • Heavy-Wall Structural Profile: The threaded branch exterior is molded with extra thickness to withstand structural torque when screwing in threaded components.

    • Optimized Internal Sweep: Features a smooth internal transition zone that minimizes backpressure, fluid shearing, and localized organic detritus buildup.

    • (Note: This retail SKU contains (1) individual standalone CoralVue 20mm Slip x 1/2" Female Threaded Tee fitting. Thread sealants, solvent primers, and rigid piping are sold under separate product categories).

While most of our equipment carries a one-year manufacturer's warranty, consumable products like fish and coral foods are not covered under traditional warranty terms due to their perishable nature and varied storage conditions. However, we fully stand behind the quality of every product we sell. If you experience any issues with your food purchase shortly after receiving it, such as concerns about freshness, packaging integrity, or product quality, please contact us at [email protected]. We're committed to making it right and will work with you to resolve any problems quickly and fairly.

    1. Ensure the 20mm metric rigid pipe is cut cleanly at a true 90-degree angle. Remove all plastic burrs along the cut edge with sandpaper or a deburring tool.

    2. Dry-fit the 20mm pipe ends into the two smooth slip ports of the tee. The pipe should seat snugly against the internal shoulder stops. Mark the insertion depth with a pencil.

    3. Clean the outside tip of the pipe and the internal socket walls of the tee slip ports to clear away all dust, moisture, and cutting debris.

    4. Apply a thin, even layer of PVC primer followed by PVC solvent cement to the outside of the pipe ends and the internal walls of the tee's slip sockets.

    5. Push the pipe ends firmly into the slip sockets with a quick 1/4 turn to spread the cement. Hold them in place for 15 seconds to lock down the chemical weld.

    6. Warp 3 to 4 wraps of standard PTFE thread sealant tape clockwise around the male threads of your 1/2" threaded accessory, then screw it into the tee's branch by hand until snug. Use a wrench for an additional 1 turn. Do not overtighten.

    Pro Tips:

    • Never Apply Solvent Glue to the Threaded Branch Outlet.
CRITICAL AQUARIUM PLUMBING DESIGN TIP: When assembling this hybrid tee, only apply PVC primer and cement to the smooth 20mm slip socket ports. Allowing solvent glue to contact the threaded branch port will permanently bond the threads, warp the sealing surfaces, and ruin the internal engagement profile, destroying the fitting's ability to create a removable mechanical seal.
    • Always Wrap Thread Tape Clockwise to Prevent Bunching. When wrapping your male fitting with PTFE thread tape before screwing it into the female branch of the tee, always wrap the tape in a clockwise direction (looking directly at the open end of the threads). If you wrap counter-clockwise, the tape will unravel and bunch up as you screw the fitting in, leading to micro-gaps and persistent weeping leaks under system pressure.
    • Use a Backup Wrench on the Body When Tightening. When screwing a rigid male component into the 1/2" branch of the tee, use a wrench to support the body of the tee while tightening. This isolates the physical torque and prevents you from twisting, cracking, or breaking the freshly glued joint on the 20mm rigid pipes.
