- Ensure all three 25mm metric pipe ends are cut perfectly square and thoroughly deburred.
- Clean the pipe ends and the internal sockets of the tee with a dedicated PVC cleaner.
- Apply a layer of PVC primer to the pipe ends and all three internal sockets of the tee.
- Apply a consistent coat of PVC solvent cement to both the pipe and the sockets.
- Push the pipes into the tee until they seat fully, giving a slight quarter-turn to distribute the cement evenly.
- Hold firmly for 30 seconds. Allow at least 1 hour of cure time before introducing water pressure.
Pro Tips:
- Metric vs. Standard 1-Inch. A 25mm metric tee will not fit standard US 1-inch pipe. 25mm is approximately 0.98 inches, whereas US 1" pipe has a 1.315" OD. Always verify your pipe diameter with a caliper to ensure compatibility.
