This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
Remove the existing collection cup lid from your Reef Octopus XP8000 skimmer.
Secure the squeegee blade assembly onto the drive shaft of the CL8000 motorized lid.
Place the CL8000 lid onto the collection cup, ensuring the blades are centered inside the neck.
Connect the power supply to the motor and plug it into a standard timer or aquarium controller.
Program the cleaner to run for 15–20 seconds, two to four times per day.
Every 6 months, remove the blades and rinse with warm freshwater to remove any accumulated grit.
Pro Tips
Maintain short, frequent cycles. Because the neck diameter of the XP8000 is so large, the motor works harder than on smaller units. Rotating the blades for 20 seconds every 6 hours is plenty to keep the path clear without causing unnecessary strain.
Utilize an external waste collector. The CLXP8000 ensures your XP8000 is always running at 100% capacity. In a system of this size, your collection cup can fill very quickly. A secondary waste container with an automated shut-off is highly recommended.
Always use a timer or controller. To maintain the lifespan of the high-torque motor, do not run the unit 24/7. Automated, short bursts are the industry-standard way to ensure your cleaner lasts for the duration of your system's life.
