This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Remove the existing collection cup lid from your 12-inch neck Reef Octopus skimmer.
- Secure the squeegee blade assembly onto the drive shaft of the CL300 motorized lid.
- Place the CL300 lid onto the collection cup, ensuring the blades are centered inside the neck.
- Connect the 24V AC power supply to the motor and plug it into a standard timer or aquarium controller.
- Program the cleaner to run for 15–20 seconds, two to four times per day.
- Inspect the blades every 3–6 months for any trapped grit that could scratch the acrylic.
Pro Tips
Short bursts are more effective than long cycles. Because the neck diameter is so large, the surface area is massive. Rotating the blades 2–3 times (about 20 seconds) every 6 hours is plenty to keep the path clear without overheating the motor.
Use an external waste collector with a shut-off. The CL300 significantly increases the amount of skimmate your unit pulls. In a large system, this can result in gallons of waste per week. A secondary collector prevents the cup from overflowing.
Always use a timer. Continuous operation will wear down the motor and the silicone blades prematurely. To ensure your investment lasts for years, use an automated timer to run the unit only when the neck actually needs wiping.
