This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Turn off your VarioS-4S controller and unplug the primary 24V power supply from the wall outlet to eliminate live electricity before working on external plumbing loops.
- Close all external isolation gate valves or feed lines leading to the Regal 200EXT body to prevent water from draining out into your dry cabinet.
- Disconnect both the flexible silicone air-silencer hose and your ozonizer gas feed lines from the vertical input barbs on your old venturi elbow.
- Unscrew the knurled threaded union collar nut counter-clockwise to release the venturi nozzle face from the male intake threads of the white pump volute cover.
- Verify that the inner rubber sealing O-ring gasket is clean and seated perfectly flat inside the tracking groove of your new ROP-DC-VNTR-RD200EXT elbow connector.
- Hand-tighten the new elbow union collar clockwise onto the pump volute until snug, reconnect your air and ozone lines, open your plumbing isolation valves, and restore system power.
Pro Tips:
- Never Overtighten the Plastic Union Collar Nut. When securing this replacement elbow venturi onto the male intake threads of your pump's volute cover, hand-tighten the ring entirely. Do not use metal channel locks, pipe wrenches, or pliers to force the connection tighter. The union is designed to achieve a perfect, airtight seal via manual torque pressing against the internal rubber gasket ring. Forcing the collar past its engineered stopping point with tools will cross-thread the polymer tracks or easily crack the heavy-walled collar face completely open.
- Always Use an Ozone-Safe Check Valve. If you take advantage of the secondary input barb on this venturi to inject ozone gas from an external generator, you must place a high-quality, ozone-safe Kynar or PVDF check valve inline along the feed line. When the skimmer pump is paused for feed cycles or unexpected power outages, backpressure inside the plumbing loop can force saltwater backward up the ozone line. Without a verified check valve, raw saltwater will back-siphon straight into your dry ozone reactor cell, instantly destroying the generator electronics.
- Perform a Regular Vinegar or Citric Acid Flush. Because external recirculating skimmers process highly concentrated amounts of organic compounds, the localized introduction of ozone can cause hard calcium deposits and sticky organic matrices to precipitate rapidly right inside the throat of the venturi bottleneck. If you notice a steady drop in air draw or fluctuating foam levels, remove the venturi block every 2 to 3 months and submerge it in a warm bath of water mixed with citric acid powder to dissolve hidden internal scaling without altering the nozzle's precise interior dimensions.
