At the heart of the Elite 200-INT is the VarioS-4S DC controllable pump. This allows the user to digitally tune the air and water mixture through five speed settings, ensuring the skimmer performs optimally regardless of the bioload. For added peace of mind, the system includes an integrated float switch that connects directly to the controller, automatically pausing the pump if the collection cup reaches capacity. WARRANTY
CoralVue, Inc. and Reef Octopus hereby guarantee this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of:
- Five (5) year warranty on pump body/housing
- Three (3) year warranty on Reef Octopus-branded controller
- One (1) year warranty on Power Supply, Impeller (and components), Rotor, Rear Bushing, and Gaskets
Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.
This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Assemble the Super Cone body and attach the VarioS-4S pump to the internal intake.
- Place the skimmer in your sump, targeting a water depth of 8 inches.
- Mount the float switch in the collection cup and connect it to the controller.
- Connect the pump to the controller and plug in the power supply.
- Open the geared output valve fully and power on the unit.
- Adjust the valve until the foam line is at the base of the collection cup neck.
- Allow 14 days of break-in time for the acrylic to fully stabilize.
Pro Tips:
- Metric Plumbing Standards. The Elite 200-INT uses a 50mm Metric output. For a professional, hard-plumbed drain, use a 50mm Metric Union to connect the skimmer's output to your sump system for easy removal during cleaning.
- Vinegar Cleaning. To keep the Super Cone body crystal clear and the pump running silently, we recommend a full teardown and vinegar soak of the pump impeller and assembly every 6 months to remove calcium buildup.
- Controller Calibration. If using a 0-10V third-party controller, remember that speed 1 on the VarioS controller is approximately 2V. Ensure your Apex/GHL profile stays within the 2V–10V range to prevent the pump from stalling.
