Bulk Spirulina Flake Food for High-Volume Freshwater and Marine Feeding
The Dymax Spirulina Advance Flakes (500g) is the bulk format of the Spirulina Advance Flakes range, intended for fish stores feeding display tanks daily, public aquarium operations, aquaculture facilities, and multi-tank hobbyist collectors whose combined tank inventory goes through flake food at a volume that makes smaller containers impractical. The formula is the same spirulina-first flake as the 20g, 50g, and 150g: 40% protein from fish meal, krill meal, and mussel meal, with astaxanthin and spirulina targeting color enhancement across red, blue, and yellow pigmentation, garlic extract for palatability, and β-Glucan alongside Bacillus Subtilis for immune and digestive support.
At 500g, the per-gram cost is the lowest across the full Spirulina Advance Flakes range, making it the right purchase for operations where this formula is a daily staple and the priority is minimizing cost per feeding while maintaining consistent quality. The formula's dual freshwater and marine compatibility means a single 500g container can supply multiple different tank types simultaneously without stocking separate formulas for each system.
Key Features:
- Spirulina-first flake food for freshwater and marine fish in a 500g bulk supply
- Three-channel color enhancement targeting red, blue, and yellow pigmentation
- 40% protein from fish meal, krill meal, and mussel meal
- Astaxanthin for natural carotenoid-based color support; garlic extract for palatability
- Seaweed and algae provide plant-based dietary balance within the formula
- β-Glucan immune support; Bacillus Subtilis probiotic for digestive efficiency and waste reduction
- Lowest per-gram cost across all four Spirulina Advance Flakes sizes
- Works across freshwater community, planted, and marine reef systems in a single formula
- Easily digestible; minimal waste and reduced water pollution risk
- No artificial colors, preservatives, or harmful additives; strict quality control
Ideal For:
- Fish stores and aquarium retailers feeding multiple freshwater and marine display tanks daily who need a bulk supply of a high-quality spirulina flake under one SKU
- Public aquariums, aquaculture facilities, and educational installations running large-volume freshwater or marine systems on a daily prepared flake food schedule
- Serious multi-tank hobbyists running ten or more freshwater and marine systems simultaneously who want a single bulk container to supply across environments
Pro Tips:
- Always decant from the 500g into a smaller airtight working container. Opening a 500g container multiple times daily is the fastest way to degrade flake quality. Keep a one to two week working portion in a sealed secondary container and refill from the main bulk supply at each restock.
- Label the container with the opening date. Bulk containers of fish food can sit for months in a storage room before the contents degrade visibly. Knowing the opening date helps staff rotate stock correctly and ensures fish are not fed food that has lost nutritional potency from extended air exposure.
- Use the dual freshwater and marine compatibility as a retail display argument. For shops stocking the 500g as their own feeding supply, the ability to use a single flake food across both display tank types simplifies inventory and reduces the number of open containers running at once.

Technical Analysis:
While most of our equipment carries a one-year manufacturer's warranty, consumable products like fish and coral foods are not covered under traditional warranty terms due to their perishable nature and varied storage conditions. However, we fully stand behind the quality of every product we sell. If you experience any issues with your food purchase shortly after receiving it, such as concerns about freshness, packaging integrity, or product quality, please contact us at [email protected]. We're committed to making it right and will work with you to resolve any problems quickly and fairly.
Instructions:
- Feed two to three times daily in small amounts. Only offer what fish will consume within two to three minutes.
- For nano fish or juveniles, crush the flake lightly between fingers before adding to reduce flake size.
- Drop flakes directly onto the water surface. The flakes will float initially and sink slowly as they absorb water, serving both surface and mid-column feeders.
- Remove any uneaten flake after three minutes using a fine net to prevent decomposition and water quality impact.
- Store the container sealed tightly in a cool, dry location away from direct light and humidity.
