The Dymax Crystal Lily Pipe Set is a glass inflow and outflow pipe kit designed for use with external canister filters. Made from handcrafted crystal quartz glass, each pipe delivers a nearly invisible profile in the tank. The outflow pipe cascades water gently across the surface, improving circulation and aeration without disrupting your aquascape. The inflow pipe draws water back to the filter in the same quiet, low-profile way.

Unlike plastic tubing, quartz glass does not scratch or yellow over time. The 12/16mm size fits standard canister filter hoses, making this set compatible with most freshwater and planted tank filters. Each piece of glass is handmade, with individual inspection for clarity and shape.

Pro Tips:

  • Check your canister filter hose size before ordering. The 12/16mm set fits filters with 12mm inner diameter and 16mm outer diameter hose. When in doubt, measure your existing hose or check your filter manual. Ordering the wrong size means the pipes will not seal properly.
  • Clean the glass regularly to prevent algae buildup. Glass lily pipes are prone to green spot algae on the inside of the outflow cup. A small pipe brush and diluted hydrogen peroxide soak every few weeks will keep the glass clear. Avoid abrasive tools that could scratch the interior.
  • Position the outflow just at the waterline. The outflow cup should sit right at the surface so water cascades across without breaking it. If the cup is too deep, you lose the surface skimming effect. If it is too high, you create excessive surface agitation and CO2 loss.

Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.

This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:

  • To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
  • To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
  • To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
  • That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
  • That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
  • Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.

Instructions:

  1. Confirm your canister filter hose diameter matches the lily pipe size ordered.
  2. Turn off your canister filter and disconnect the existing hose connections.
  3. Slide the inflow lily pipe onto the return hose from the filter. Press the hose firmly onto the glass fitting until it seats completely.
  4. Slide the outflow lily pipe onto the outlet hose. Confirm the connection is snug with no gaps.
  5. Attach the suction cups to the glass pipes and press them firmly onto the aquarium glass. Position the outflow pipe so the cup rim sits at the waterline.
  6. Position the inflow pipe near the substrate on the opposite side of the tank from the outflow for best circulation.
  7. Restart the canister filter at a low flow rate first and check all glass connections for leaks before returning to full flow.
Caution: Glass lily pipes are fragile. Handle with care during installation and when cleaning. Do not overtighten hose connections, as this can crack the glass at the fitting point.
