IceCap K1 Nano Skimmer Airline Tubing
Maintaining dense foam production and quiet air draw in nano reef protein skimmers requires an airtight, unrestricted air delivery line. The IceCap K1 Nano Airline Tubing (SKU: IP-K1NN-TB) is the official OEM replacement silicone air hose engineered specifically for the IceCap K1 Nano Protein Skimmer.
Connecting the upper air silencer chamber to the venturi nozzle on the nano pump, this flexible hose routes fresh air into the water intake stream. Over time, salt creep accumulation, calcium build-up, or accidental pinch-kinks can restrict airflow, causing the skimmer foam level to drop. Replacing brittle or dirty tubing with an authentic IP-K1NN-TB hose restores optimal air-to-water ratios and peak fractionation efficiency in nano aquariums.
Ideal Replacement Scenario
If your K1 Nano protein skimmer experiences reduced air draw, if salt creep has clogged the internal walls of the original airline hose, or if the tubing became damaged during routine pump maintenance, installing the authentic IP-K1NN-TB restores factory air delivery.

Installation & Replacement Guidelines:
Turn off power to the K1 Nano skimmer pump to stop active air suction.
Gently pull the old airline hose off the barbed port on the air silencer chamber.
Disconnect the bottom end of the hose from the venturi intake port on the nano pump block.
Push one end of the new IP-K1NN-TB silicone tubing firmly onto the pump venturi barb.
Attach the opposite end to the air silencer barb, ensuring the hose forms a smooth curve without sharp kinks or bends, then restore power.
Pro Tips:
Flush Tubing Periodically with Warm RO Water. Salt creep occasionally migrates up the lower portion of the air tube. Once a month, squirt a small amount of warm reverse osmosis (RO) water down the silencer connection while the pump is running to dissolve salt deposits before they restrict airflow.
Avoid Sharp Hose Kinks. When positioning the K1 Nano skimmer in compact rear filtration compartments or small sumps, ensure the flexible airline tubing maintains a smooth, rounded loop to avoid pinching off air supply to the venturi.
