This factory replacement transformer converts standard household AC power into a regulated 13.8 Volt DC charging current. When main electrical power is active, the supply continuously conditions and maintains the internal battery cell at 100% capacity without overheating internal plates. The moment power fails, the connected IceCap Gyre or DC wavemaker automatically transitions to V2 battery power, keeping oxygen levels stable in your reef tank for hours.

Installation & Set-Up Guidelines:
Unplug the existing power adapter from your wall outlet and disconnect it from the IceCap Battery Backup v2.0 unit.
Plug the male DC barrel jack of the new IC-BTBK-PS firmly into the port labeled "CHARGING INPUT" or "DC IN" on the V2 battery backup housing.
Plug the AC wall adapter into a grounded 120V electrical outlet (drip loop recommended).
Observe the V2 battery backup status LEDs to confirm that the battery charging cycle has initiated.
Pro Tips:
- Incorporate a Safety Drip Loop. Always install a drip loop on the AC power wire below the wall outlet level. This simple wire curve prevents condensation or water splashes from tracking down the cord directly into electrical sockets.
