- Disconnect your Flipper MAX internal wet module from the display wall and pull it out of the water column to change your blades safely on a dry surface.
- Locate the small lifting tabs on the sides of your old, worn plastic blade. Lift the tabs up vertically away from the magnet face, then push or slide the blade forward to release it from the tracking pins.
- Take a fresh plastic replacement blade out of your RFC14418 5-pack box. Warning: While plastic blades will not cut your skin like raw metal razors, handle them carefully by the rear spine to avoid pinching.
- Align the guide slots on the underside of the new blade with the matching pins on the Flipper MAX chassis head. Note: The structural design is directional and will only snap securely into place in one orientation.
- Push the blade back firmly until you hear a crisp click, indicating it is locked and seated evenly across the front profile of the scraper deck.
- Lower the loaded wet module back into your aquarium water, re-engage the external magnetic handle, and continue your routine aquarium maintenance.
