Achieving the correct water level is vital for large-scale skimmers; if they sit too deep, the increased backpressure on the pump reduces air intake and leads to inconsistent foam production. The ST-3 offers three height adjustment levels, allowing you to raise these heavy units to their "sweet spot" for peak organic removal.

This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Measure the current water depth in your skimmer compartment.
- Identify the recommended operating depth for your specific skimmer model (usually between 7–10 inches).
- Set the ST-3 height pegs to the 3", 3.8", or 4.5" position as needed.
- Place the stand in the sump, ensuring it is level and clear of any airline tubing or power cords.
- Carefully lower the skimmer onto the ST-3 platform.
- Adjust the skimmer's outlet gate valve to recalibrate the internal water level for the new depth.
Pro Tips
Check for Sump Clearance.
Before purchasing the ST-3, double-check that your sump compartment can accommodate the 17.7-inch length. Large skimmers often have tight tolerances, and the stand must sit fully flat to be effective.
Prevent Detritus Traps. Because of the large surface area of the ST-3, detritus can settle underneath the platform. We recommend lifting the stand slightly or using a small powerhead to blow out the area under the stand during your monthly maintenance.
Stabilize Your Pump. For very large skimmers, ensure the pump intake is positioned at least 1–2 inches away from any sump walls or baffles while on the stand. This prevents harmonic resonance and ensures unrestricted water flow into the skimmer.
