The Reef Octopus Regal 300-INT is the titan of the Regal series, designed specifically for massive residential systems and large-scale commercial reef displays. Boasting a substantial 12-inch wine-glass body, this skimmer is engineered to process the heavy biological waste produced by systems up to 740 gallons. Powered by the VarioS-6S DC controllable pump, it offers the rare combination of high-volume processing and surgical precision, allowing the user to electronically adjust air and water flow to match the specific needs of their ecosystem.
Built with industrial-grade cast acrylic, the Regal 300-INT is designed for longevity and peak efficiency. The VarioS controller provides a "soft start" to prevent overflow upon startup and includes a waterproof connection for the integrated float switch—a critical safety feature for large-scale systems to prevent salt creep and waste re-entry. With its heavy-duty geared gate valve and turbulence-reducing bubble plate, the Regal 300-INT provides the most stable foam production available for high-capacity in-sump filtration.

CoralVue, Inc. and Reef Octopus hereby guarantee this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of:
- Five (5) year warranty on pump body/housing
- Three (3) year warranty on Reef Octopus-branded controller
- One (1) year warranty on Power Supply, Impeller (and components), Rotor, Rear Bushing, and Gaskets
Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.
This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Verify the VarioS-6S pump and bubble plate are properly seated within the 12" body.
- Place the skimmer in your sump, targeting a water depth of approximately 8 inches.
- Install the float switch in the collection cup lid and connect it to the controller.
- Plug the VarioS-6S pump into the controller and connect to the power supply.
- Set the pump speed to Level 3 for the initial break-in period.
- Adjust the geared gate valve until the foam line sits at the base of the neck.
- Allow a 21-day break-in period before performing final high-precision tuning.
Pro Tips:
- Metric Plumbing Standards. The Regal 300-INT utilizes a 50mm Metric output. For large-scale installations, we recommend using a 50mm Metric Union to connect the skimmer's drain to your sump system, allowing for easy removal during deep cleaning sessions.
- Maintenance Schedule. Because the 300-INT processes massive amounts of organics, calcium buildup on the VarioS-6S impeller can occur faster than on smaller models. Soak the pump in a citric acid or vinegar solution every 4–6 months to maintain its silent operation.
- Automatic Neck Cleaning. Managing a 7-inch neck manually can be labor-intensive. To maintain peak performance, we highly recommend pairing this unit with a Reef Octopus Automatic Neck Cleaner (ANC) to keep the inner neck free of organic buildup 24/7.
