Preventing top-off water line displacement is critical to keeping fresh reservoir water directed where it belongs—inside your sump or display tank. The IceCap ATO Tubing Clip (SKU: IP-ATO-CLIP) is the official OEM replacement mounting bracket designed specifically for IceCap Auto Top Off Systems. Unsecured flexible top-off hoses can easily spring loose, twist under pump pressure, or spray water onto cabinet walls and flooring.
This heavy-duty plastic mounting clip features a C-clamp profile equipped with a nylon thumb screw. It clamps securely onto tank glass or acrylic sump partition walls up to 1/2 inch thick. The integrated tubing channel grips standard 1/4" / 6.5mm ID flexible top-off line, keeping the exit nozzle positioned in open air above the water line to prevent submerged back-siphoning.

Installation & Set-Up Guidelines:
Turn off power to your IceCap ATO controller while positioning top-off water lines.
Slide the IP-ATO-CLIP bracket over the top rim of your aquarium glass or internal sump baffle wall.
Hand-tighten the nylon thumb screw against the glass until the bracket is firmly locked in position.
Press your flexible top-off hose into the front retention clip loop until firmly seated.
Verify that the discharge end of the tubing hangs in open air above the highest possible water line, and turn on system power.
Pro Tips:
- Keep Discharge End Above High Water Line. Never position the end of the top-off hose below the water line in your sump. Keeping the hose outlet elevated in open air ensures that air breaks the liquid column when the pump shuts down, preventing siphons.
- Hand-Tighten Only. Tighten the nylon screw using finger pressure only. Avoid using pliers or tools, as excessive force can strip plastic threads or stress thin acrylic sump baffles.
