If a connected wavemaker pump jams or a sudden electrical fault occurs during a power transition, this sacrifice fuse immediately breaks the circuit to prevent battery cell destruction or thermal overload.
This complete assembly includes the heavy-duty insulating fuse holder housing alongside the precisely rated glass cartridge fuse. The twist-lock cap allows aquarists to easily access and replace the internal fuse without opening the sealed battery enclosure or voiding hardware warranties.
Troubleshooting Tip

Installation & Replacement Guidelines:
Disconnect all AC power adapters and pump connection cables from your IceCap Battery Backup unit.
Locate the circular fuse cap on the side or rear panel of the battery housing.
Push inward slightly using a flat screwdriver or coin and twist the fuse cap counter-clockwise to unlock and remove the holder assembly.
Remove the blown glass fuse cartridge from the holder spring and insert the fresh IC-BTBK-FSH cartridge.
Align the fuse cap back into the housing slot, push inward, and twist clockwise until firmly locked into place.
