Installation & Adjustment Guidelines:
Turn off the main return pump to drop the water level inside the sump filtration chambers.
Loosen and remove the existing nylon thumbscrews securing the old baffle plate to the fixed divider wall.
Slide the old or cracked baffle out of the chamber guide tracks.
Align the new IP-RS15-BAF baffle within the guide tracks, positioning it against the pre-drilled bulkhead/retaining holes.
Reinsert the nylon thumbscrews through the vertical adjustment slots and thread them lightly into the receiver holes.
Slide the baffle up or down until the top edge matches the recommended operating depth for your protein skimmer, then hand-tighten the screws firmly (do not overtighten).
Restore power to your return pump and verify the stabilized water level.
Pro Tips:
- Hand-Tighten Only to Protect Acrylic Slots. Always tighten the baffle's nylon thumbscrews by hand. Using pliers or tools can easily strip the nylon threads or cause hairline stress fractures around the elongated adjustment slots of the acrylic plate.
