Over years of continuous submerged operation, motor windings can fatigue, calcium buildup can wear internal bearings, or electrical line faults can disrupt pump performance.
This factory-original replacement pump restores your K1 series protein skimmer to peak organic extraction capability. Engineered around a low-voltage DC motor block, the pump includes the exact snap-on venturi air nozzle required to create a rich air-water mixture. The specialized needlewheel impeller slices the incoming mixture into millions of microscopic bubbles, building a dense skimmate foam head inside K1-100 and K1-130 reaction chambers.

This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
Installation & Set-Up Guidelines:
Disconnect power to your skimmer and remove the K1-100 or K1-130 skimmer body from the sump.
Detach the old pump block from the base plate of the skimmer body.
Attach the included venturi air nozzle onto the front suction port of the new IC-EVAIR-400 pump until firmly seated.
Mount the new pump back onto the skimmer body base plate and connect your flexible air silencer hose to the venturi air nipple.
Plug the pump power cord into your controller or power adapter, restore power, and adjust water level settings to establish proper foam height.
Pro TIps:
- Soak in Citric Acid Regularly. Soak the pump motor block and needlewheel impeller in a warm citric acid solution every 2 to 3 months. Dissolving calcium carbonate scale prevents motor drag, reduces operating temperatures, and extends motor lifespan.
- Keep Air Nipple Free of Salt Creep. Because venturis feature narrow air passages, humidity can form salt crust inside the air nipple over time. Periodically run a thin pipe cleaner or warm water through the air intake tube to maintain uninterrupted air draw.
