The Reef Octopus NK-150 Neck Extension provides an immediate performance boost to your filtration system by extending the neck height of your protein skimmer by 2 inches. This additional height increases the dwell time of air bubbles within the reaction chamber, allowing for more efficient binding of dissolved organic compounds. CoralVue, Inc. hereby guarantees this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of:

Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.
This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
- Power down the skimmer pump and remove the collection cup.
- Clean the top of the skimmer body and the extension O-ring to ensure a debris-free seal.
- Seat the NK-150 extension firmly onto the skimmer neck.
- Place the collection cup on top of the extension.
- Turn the skimmer back on and adjust the outlet valve as needed to recalibrate the foam level.
Verify your cabinet height. Adding an extension increases the overall height of your skimmer. Make sure you have at least 3 inches of clearance above the new height to comfortably lift and remove the collection cup for cleaning.
Keep O-rings hydrated. Use a small amount of aquarium-safe silicone lubricant on the extension O-ring. This prevents the acrylic from seizing over time and makes maintenance much easier.
