- Map out your plumbing route and mark carrier locations. For 40mm pipe, we recommend a carrier every 3 feet on horizontal runs to prevent sagging.
- Mark the mounting holes on your wall or rack, ensuring they are perfectly level.
- Secure the carrier to the surface using appropriate #12 or #14 stainless steel hardware (not included).
- Firmly press the 40mm metric pipe into the carrier until it "snaps" into the cradle.
- Support the pipe at every change of direction (elbows) and near heavy valves or equipment to minimize leverage stress.
- To remove the pipe, pull it away from the bracket with firm, steady pressure.
Pro Tips:
- Metric vs. Standard 1.5-Inch. A 40mm pipe carrier is designed specifically for 40mm OD metric pipe (approx. 1.57 inches). It will not fit standard US 1.5-inch pipe, which has a larger 1.90-inch OD. Always confirm your pipe diameter with a caliper to ensure compatibility.
- Vibration Dampening. For systems where silence is paramount, you can line the inside of the carrier with a thin strip of adhesive-backed neoprene. This creates a soft interface between the pipe and the bracket, further isolating pump vibrations from the stand.
- Hardware Selection. While the carrier is non-corrosive, the screw holding it in place is not. Always use Grade 316 Stainless Steel screws. This prevents rust-streaks on your stand and ensures the structural integrity of the mount for years to come.
