Proper water depth is critical for venturi-driven skimmers; if the unit is submerged too deeply, the pump must work harder to pull air, often resulting in inconsistent foam or overflowing. The ST-2 provides three height adjustment levels, allowing you to raise the skimmer to the manufacturer's recommended depth for peak organic removal.

This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
Verify your skimmer's recommended water depth (typically 7–9 inches for Reef Octopus).
Adjust the ST-2 to the required height peg (3", 3.8", or 4.5").
Place the stand in the sump, ensuring it is clear of detritus and sitting level.
Carefully place the skimmer on the ST-2 platform.
Monitor the skimmer performance; you may need to adjust the water outlet wedge or gate valve to recalibrate for the new depth.
Pro Tips:
Check for Pump Clearance.
Ensure that the pump intake is not blocked by the stand’s legs or too close to the sump wall after placement. Proper flow into the venturi is essential for a stable foam head.
Siphon Under the Stand. Detritus tends to settle in low-flow areas, such as beneath a skimmer stand. During your bi-weekly water changes, use a siphon to clean under the acrylic platform to prevent nutrient buildup.
Stability is Key. If your skimmer pump is particularly powerful, ensure the skimmer's rubber feet are clean before placing it on the stand. This prevents the unit from "walking" or vibrating against the acrylic surface.
