    • Cross-Spec Hybrid Splicing: Straight line connection linking a standard 32mm metric rigid pipe directly to an imperial 1" female threaded component.
    • Precision Male Threading: Features clean, deep external threads designed to screw smoothly into standard female fittings without binding.
    • Aquarium-Grade Dark Gray Finish: Modeled from professional high-purity uPVC that blends neatly with standard commercial marine sumps and custom manifolds.
    • 100% Reef Safe Construction: Free from volatile heavy metal stabilizers and harmful plasticizers, making it safe for delicate marine corals, fish, and invertebrates.
    • Integrated Hexagonal Center Collar: Features an outer molded hex collar providing flat mechanical wrench paths to ensure safe tightening without marring.

CoralVue 32mm Metric Male to Slip Coupling Fitting

The CoralVue 32mm Metric Male to Slip Coupling Fitting (SKU: PVC-MCPLG-32) is a crucial fluid management component engineered to handle inline straight transitions between rigid metric pipe runs and standard threaded equipment ports. When assembling advanced marine reef filtration networks, integrating European or metric-spec plumbing setups with standard imperial threaded hardware frequently presents alignment hurdles. The PVC-MCPLG-32 removes these adaptation friction points, providing a rugged, single-piece inline straight configuration that adapts connection styles while maintaining high velocity.

Molded to precise aquaculture tolerances, this dark gray coupling features an inline port pairing consisting of a 32mm smooth female slip socket and an external male threaded port (functionally matching standard 1" gas/imperial female thread profiles). The smooth slip socket is engineered to slide cleanly over 32mm metric rigid pipes for a permanent, leak-free solvent weld. The threaded opposite end provides a secure, removable mechanical link for pump inlets, bulkheads, inline UV sterilizers, or media reactors. This hybrid arrangement streamlines plumbing manifolds within tight aquarium stands, reducing the overall count of physical joints.

    Key Features

    • Molded Internal Pipe Stop: The slip socket port contains an integrated landing shoulder that ensures consistent insertion depth for a strong solvent weld.

    • Thick-Wall Reinforcement: The coupling is molded with extra structural thickness to withstand torque stress when tightening into female fittings.

    • Smooth Internal Chamber: A polished interior channel limits fluid shearing, localized turbulence, and detritus accumulation zones.

    • (Note: This retail SKU contains (1) individual standalone CoralVue 32mm Female Slip x 1" Male Threaded Coupling fitting. Thread sealants, solvent primers, and rigid piping are sold under separate product categories).

While most of our equipment carries a one-year manufacturer's warranty, consumable products like fish and coral foods are not covered under traditional warranty terms due to their perishable nature and varied storage conditions. However, we fully stand behind the quality of every product we sell. If you experience any issues with your food purchase shortly after receiving it, such as concerns about freshness, packaging integrity, or product quality, please contact us at [email protected]. We're committed to making it right and will work with you to resolve any problems quickly and fairly.

    1. Ensure the 32mm metric rigid pipe is cut cleanly at a true 90-degree angle. Remove all plastic burrs along the cut edge with sandpaper or a deburring tool.
    2. Dry-fit the 32mm pipe into the smooth slip port of the coupling. The pipe should seat snugly against the internal shoulder stop. Mark the insertion depth on the pipe with a pencil.
    3. Apply a thin, even layer of PVC primer followed by PVC solvent cement to the outside of the pipe end and the internal wall of the coupling's slip socket.
    4. Push the pipe firmly into the slip socket with a quick 1/4 turn to spread the cement uniformly. Hold it in place for 15 seconds to lock down the chemical weld.
    5. Inspect the male threaded end to ensure it is clean and free of debris. Wrap 3 to 4 wraps of standard PTFE thread sealant tape clockwise around the male threads.
    6. Thread the coupling into the companion female port by hand until snug. Use a wrench on the integrated hex collar to turn it an additional 1 turn to secure a watertight mechanical seal. Do not overtighten.

    Pro Tips:

    • Never Apply Solvent Glue to the Threaded Connection Side.
CRITICAL AQUARIUM PLUMBING DESIGN TIP: When assembling this hybrid straight coupling, only apply PVC primer and cement to the smooth 32mm slip socket side. Applying solvent glue to the threaded port will permanently damage the threads, ruin the sealing surface, and prevent the fitting from ever threading into its companion female port cleanly.
    • Always Wrap Thread Tape Clockwise to Prevent Bunching. When wrapping the male threaded end with PTFE thread tape before screwing it into a female fitting, always wrap the tape in a clockwise direction (looking directly at the open end of the threads). If you wrap counter-clockwise, the tape will unravel and bunch up as you screw the fitting in, leading to micro-gaps and persistent weeping leaks under system pressure.
    • Hand-Tighten First to Prevent Cross-Threading Damage. Because plastic threads can easily cross-thread, always start threading the coupling into the female fitting by hand. You should be able to complete 2 to 3 full rotations smoothly before encountering any real mechanical resistance. If it binds immediately, back it out, re-align, and try again.
