    • Compact Flush Reducer: Fits completely flush inside a standard 75mm female slip fitting to minimize vertical space and streamline complex manifolds.
    • True Metric Calibration: Engineered with a 75mm outer spigot diameter and a 63mm inner slip socket port for a seamless, watertight solvent fit.
    • Aquarium-Grade Dark Gray Finish: Neutral industrial aesthetic matches professional sumps, reef reactors, and high-end cabinetry manifolds.
    • 100% Reef Safe Construction: Free from volatile heavy metal stabilizers and harmful plasticizers, making it safe for delicate marine corals and invertebrates.
    • Heavy-Wall Structure: Molded from premium unplasticized PVC (uPVC) to handle high-pressure pump loops and resist structural line vibration.

CoralVue 75/63mm Metric Reducing Bushing Fitting

The CoralVue 75/63mm Metric Reducing Bushing Fitting (SKU: PVC-RDBSH-7563) is a crucial space-saving fluid management component engineered to step down pipe sizing inside tight reef cabinet environments. When building advanced marine aquariums, commercial aquaculture facilities, or multi-tank custom manifolds, transitioning from larger main drainage lines or master overflow drops down to standard secondary drain runs is frequently required. Unlike bulky inline reducing couplings that add length to your pipe runs, this flush-style reducing bushing slides completely inside an existing 75mm metric female socket, changing its input diameter to 63mm without taking up extra physical space.

Molded to precise aquaculture tolerances, this dark gray bushing features a 75mm outer spigot end (which acts as a male pipe end) and a 63mm inner slip socket (female receiver). By solvent welding this fitting directly into a 75mm elbow, tee, union, or ball valve, you instantly convert that socket to accept a standard 63mm metric rigid pipe. This structural integration keeps your plumbing layout clean, professional, and free of unnecessary joints that could disrupt flow rates.

    Key Features

    • Molded Internal Stop Ridge: The inner 63mm slip socket contains a built-in landing shoulder to ensure consistent insertion depth for a strong solvent weld.

    • Polished Flow Path: The smooth interior transitional wall limits localized fluid drag and prevents organic detritus from settling within the fitting.

    • uPVC Composition: Offers exceptional chemical and corrosion resistance against highly concentrated saltwater environments.

    • (Note: This retail SKU contains (1) individual standalone CoralVue 75mm to 63mm Reducing Bushing fitting. Solvent primers, cements, and rigid piping are sold under separate product categories).

While most of our equipment carries a one-year manufacturer's warranty, consumable products like fish and coral foods are not covered under traditional warranty terms due to their perishable nature and varied storage conditions. However, we fully stand behind the quality of every product we sell. If you experience any issues with your food purchase shortly after receiving it, such as concerns about freshness, packaging integrity, or product quality, please contact us at [email protected]. We're committed to making it right and will work with you to resolve any problems quickly and fairly.

    1. Ensure the 63mm rigid pipe is cut cleanly at a true 90-degree angle and deburred. Clean both the bushing's inner socket and outer spigot body.
    2. Apply a thin, even layer of PVC primer to the inside of the 75mm receiving fitting's socket and the outside of the bushing's 75mm spigot body.
    3. While wet, apply PVC solvent cement over both primed surfaces and insert the bushing fully into the 75mm fitting, rotating it 1/4 turn to spread the glue. Hold firmly for 15 seconds.
    4. Once the bushing is locked in place, prime the inside of the bushing's 63mm inner socket and the outside of the 63mm metric pipe.
    5. Apply PVC solvent cement to both 63mm primed surfaces, insert the 63mm pipe into the bushing until it bottoms out, and hold for 15 seconds.
    6. Allow a full 24-hour cure time before introducing high-pressure saltwater flow to guarantee the integrity of the chemical welds.

    Pro Tips:

    • Do Not Attempt to Glue Imperial Pipe Directly Into This Metric Fitting.
CRITICAL AQUARIUM PLUMBING DESIGN TIP: This reducing bushing is engineered to exact metric dimensions. The inner slip port accepts only standard 63mm metric rigid pipe. Do not attempt to force standard 2" domestic Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 pipe into the port. Doing so will result in a sloppy, mismatched connection that will fail under pressure.
    • Use the Flush Design to Keep Your Cabinet Plumbing Organized. Because this bushing sits completely flush inside a standard 75mm female socket, it allows you to step down line sizes instantly right at your manifolds. By placing this bushing directly into a 75mm tee or union, you can transition straight down to 63mm for secondary drainage lines or high-volume return loops without adding extra length or weight to the plumbing line.
    • Always Wipe Away Excess Glue Squeeze-Out. When welding the bushing inside your 75mm fitting, a small bead of solvent cement will slide forward. Be sure to wipe away any wet glue from the inner 63mm socket entry using a clean swab or cloth before inserting the 63mm pipe, ensuring a clean mating surface for the final joint.
