HYDROS Dual Inline TDS Sensor for RO/DI Filtration (SKU: HDRS-TDS)

The HYDROS Dual Inline TDS Sensor (SKU: HDRS-TDS) is an authentic, professional-grade water analytics instrument distributed by CoralVue to bring commercial cloud-linked data tracking straight to your home aquarium purification plant. Standard handheld or standalone digital TDS testers can be highly tedious, requiring manually dipped cups and constant batteries that frequently fail right when an unmonitored filter starts sneaking raw minerals into your storage reservoir. The HDRS-TDS completely transforms water safety by executing around-the-clock, real-time tracking of your Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). By reading mineral levels simultaneously at two distinct filtration zones, it removes the guesswork from pure water management.

The primary mechanical benefit of this advanced probe assembly centers on its Tool-Free Plug-and-Play Ecosystem Framework. There is absolutely no complex code, syntax mapping, or debugging tasks required to deploy this probe into your smart automation framework. The device is outfitted with a standardized GX12 aviation connector terminal that links directly into any open green Sense Port across your HYDROS device matrix (including the Control XS, X2, X3, X4, X10, Minnow, or Launch platforms). Drawing its active operating current directly from the parent controller hub, it feeds real-time telemetry back into your ecosystem. Whether you drop one probe after your RO membrane to track membrane rejection rate or place the second terminal right at the final output line to guarantee 0 TDS, this high-precision sensor works as an ironclad insurance policy for fragile marine setups.

Key Features

  • Prevents Sudden Chemical Spikes: Catches municipal tap water spikes or creeping contaminants immediately before they can enter your evaporation top-off line.

  • Maximizes Resin Longevity Profiles: Tracking your post-membrane performance allows you to run your DI media to true capacity, lowering maintenance costs.

  • Standalone Display Flexibility: Includes a compact local display node that matches the automated cloud logs with an immediate physical reference right at the filter.

  • (Note: This retail package contains (1) HYDROS Dual TDS Sensor display assembly, (2) Inline titanium probe heads, and (2) 1/4in push-connect T-adapters. Master HYDROS controller blocks and replacement RO tubing are sold under separate product categories).

WARRANTY

CoralVue, Inc. hereby guarantees this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of:

  • One (1) year warranty on the device body/housing
  • One (1) year warranty on dosing pump motor (not dosing head(s))
  • Tubing, head rollers, and head bushings are considered wearable parts because they experience regular friction, pressure, and use over time, leading to natural degradation. Since these components are expected to wear out during normal operation, they are not covered under the limited warranty.

Warranty is activated on the date of purchase.

This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:

  • To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
  • To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse, or abuse.
  • To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
  • That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of the owner's or his agent's first knowledge of the defect.
  • That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given the first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements, or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
  • Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary, or consequential damages of any nature, however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.

Easy Sensor Installation

  1. Turn off your source tap line feeding water to your RO/DI purification rack and flip open a manual waste valve to drop fluid line backpressure.

  2. Select your dual monitoring locations. Pro Tip: The most efficient industrial architecture involves splicing the first titanium sensor into your line right after the RO membrane (Post-RO) and placing the second probe directly into your final pure output line (Post-DI).

  3. Cut your standard 1/4-inch poly line squarely using a dedicated tube razor cutter. Push the ends firmly into the included quick-connect T-adapters until they bottom out, then push the titanium sensor pins straight down into the adapter collars until they seat airtight.

  4. Mount the local magnetic display bracket onto a dry patch of your wall or rack profile, and snap the compact viewer housing directly onto the magnetic faceplate.

  5. Route your primary connecting cable back to your control center. Insert the GX12 aviation connector pins straight into any available green Sense Port on your HYDROS Control hub, and twist the outer metal knurled ring clockwise until it locks securely.

  6. Open your HYDROS Remote App on your smartphone. Click the "+" symbol under the inputs menu, name your profile, select the "TDS Sensor" template preset, and save. The cloud platform will immediately begin collecting data and plotting live tracking records.

Pro Tips:

  • Configure Automated App Alerts to Stop Unseen "Resin Exhaustion" Disasters. The true strength of adding this sensor to your HYDROS automation collective lies within the smart alert rule options inside the app. Once your HDRS-TDS is online, build a basic logic rule that monitors your final output probe. Set the rule parameter to drop out of a normal "green state" and send an immediate push-notification or text alert to your phone the exact second your pure water hits 1 ppm TDS. This automated warning gives you a reliable heads-up to change out your spent DI resin before dirty baseline water can destabilize your display tank.
  • Keep Your Dual Probes Clean of Debris and Air Clogs for Precise Data Tracking. While the high-grade titanium pins on your sensor are engineered to handle harsh water exposure for years, loose air bubbles inside an RO/DI setup can sometimes get trapped right around the probe core. If a micro-bubble blocks one of the pins, it insulates the titanium, resulting in falsely low or erratic TDS readings. If your app trends show a strange jump or a frozen value, simply tap the side of the 1/4-inch plastic push-fitting a few times. This easily clears away any trapped bubbles, smoothing out your data tracking instantly.
  • Use the Post-RO Metric to Calculate Your Membrane's True Rejection Percentage. Do not just look at your final 0 TDS output line. Use the dual tracking capability of your HDRS-TDS to monitor your water quality immediately after it leaves your RO membrane. By comparing your home's incoming tap water TDS against the post-membrane reading, you can find your filtration system's exact physical rejection percentage. If your tap water reads 200 ppm and the post-membrane sensor shows 4 ppm, your membrane is stripping out 98% of your contaminants. If that post-membrane number rises past 10–15 ppm over time, your membrane is starting to degrade, letting you plan out a replacement before you exhaust your expensive DI resin boxes.
