110mm Metric Cross Fitting
The 110mm Metric Cross Fitting is a specialized manifold component designed for large-scale water distribution in professional aquarium exhibits and industrial aquaculture facilities. Precision-engineered for 110mm Metric PVC pipe, this fitting serves as a central junction for massive plumbing runs, most notably in the discharge and recirculation systems of Reef Octopus Commercial protein skimmers.
In complex life support engineering, the cross fitting allows a single high-volume line to split into three separate directions (or combine three lines into one) while maintaining a compact footprint. This is essential for building centralized return manifolds where balanced flow to multiple exhibits is required. Constructed from industrial-grade, thick-walled grey PVC, this cross provides the structural integrity necessary to manage the vibrations and weight of water moving through high-diameter plumbing.
Key Features
True Metric Calibration: Fits 110mm OD metric pipe—standard for Reef Octopus commercial-spec plumbing and European exhibits.
4-Way Connectivity: Enables sophisticated plumbing layouts without the need for multiple, space-consuming "Tee" fittings.
Industrial Durability: Saltwater-safe grey PVC construction is chemically inert and highly resistant to impact.
Precision Molded: Smooth internal bore reduces water turbulence and prevents organic buildup in high-volume systems.
Deep Socket Design: All four ports feature slip-style connections for a secure, permanent solvent weld.
Ideal For
Commercial Manifold Systems: Splitting a primary 110mm feed into multiple display return lines.
Centralized Filtration: Connecting multiple large-scale protein skimmers to a single drain or intake line.
Public Aquarium Life Support: Heavy-duty plumbing hubs for massive exhibit filtration racks.

What’s Included:
(1) 110mm Metric Cross Fitting
Specifications:
Size: 110mm
Configuration: 4-Way Cross
Connection Type: Slip x Slip x Slip x Slip (Socket)
Material: Industrial Grade Grey PVC
Compatibility: 110mm Metric Pipe ONLY
- Ensure all 110mm metric pipe ends are cut perfectly square and thoroughly deburred.
- Perform a complete dry-fit of all four ports to verify manifold alignment before applying adhesive.
- Apply a generous layer of PVC primer to the pipe ends and the internal sockets of the cross.
- Apply heavy-duty solvent cement (designed for large-diameter pipe) to both the pipe and fitting.
- Insert the pipes into the cross. Due to the size of 110mm fittings, a mechanical pipe puller may be helpful to ensure full seating.
- Hold firmly for 60 seconds. Allow a minimum of 6 hours to cure before pressure testing.
Pro Tips:
- Metric vs. Standard 4-Inch. A 110mm metric fitting will not fit standard 4-inch USA pipe. 110mm is approximately 4.33 inches, whereas US 4-inch pipe has a 4.5-inch OD. Always confirm your pipe diameter with a caliper before installation.
- Support the Hub. A 110mm manifold filled with water is extremely heavy. We recommend supporting the cross fitting directly with a bracket or platform to prevent the weight of the water from stressing the solvent joints on the horizontal branches.
- Flow Tip. While cross fittings are great for space-saving, they can create turbulence if used as a high-velocity intake. If flow noise is a concern, ensure the manifold is sized one step larger than the feed line to reduce water velocity through the junction.
