- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
Instructions:
- Carefully unbox your IC-AQCB2 tank on a completely flat, clear workspace. Do not remove the black self-leveling foam mat permanently bonded to the bottom glass panel.
Position the aquarium in its final location on a dedicated, level, sturdy desk, counter, or office table. Warning: Filled with water and gravel, this pico setup weighs nearly 20 lbs and must sit on a surface that provides continuous, unbroken support across its entire 7.9-inch square base.
If utilizing an internal micro corner filter or external nano canister, install your plumbing paths or filter frames along the back pane to preserve clean front-facing sightlines.
Arrange your specialized soil, micro-stones, and nano-driftwood carefully inside the dry tank. Pro Tip: Because the glass is rimless, use plastic aquascaping pinsettes to prevent accidental glass damage during hardscape positioning.
Place a small sheet of plastic wrap or a clean paper towel directly over your substrate to diffuse the water stream, then slowly siphon or pour in your water to avoid disturbing your design.
Fill the water level to within 0.5 inches of the polished upper rim, install your rim-clamping desktop LED light fixture, turn on your filtration system, and check all seams to ensure smooth operation.
Pro Tips:
- Utilize a Glass Top or Acrylic Lid to Mitigate Aggressive Evaporation Rates. Because a 2-gallon enclosure contains a very small overall volume of water, rapid evaporation will cause fast shifts in water chemistry. Losing just a few ounces of liquid to the air can quickly double the concentration of dissolved minerals and fertilizer salts. Placing a custom-cut clear glass top or thin acrylic sheet over the rimless edges significantly blocks evaporation, stabilizing your water parameters and protecting tiny inhabitants like ornamental shrimp from osmotic shock.
- Always Double-Check Surface Leveling Across Both Horizontal Axes. Rimless glass enclosures are uniquely sensitive to twisting stress when placed on home office desks or nightstands. Because a cube distributes its weight symmetrically, if the surface sags or tilts toward one corner, gravity will twist the clear silicone seams unevenly. Before adding any water, rest a bubble level directly across the top polished edges from front-to-back and left-to-right. Use structural shims beneath the furniture legs rather than directly under the glass to secure a perfect level layout.
- Stock Exclusively with Micro-Fauna to Maintain Biological Balance. Due to the 2-gallon volume limits, this pico cube is entirely too small for any active, open-water swimming fish species (including Neon Tetras or Guppies). Instead, focus the visual scale of your aquascape around colorful micro-invertebrates. A small colony of ornamental dwarf shrimp (such as Cherry Shrimp or Crystal Red Shrimp) alongside miniature hitchhiking snails (like Ramshorn or Nerite Snails) will flourish in this environment, maintaining a highly stable biological ecosystem.
