The Octo Regal 200INT Collection Cup (SKU: ROP-CC-REGAL200) is the official OEM replacement acrylic collection cup engineered specifically for the Reef Octopus Regal 200INT In-Sump Protein Skimmer.
Driven by the controllable VarioS-4 S skimmer pump, the Regal 200INT produces high volumes of organic foam that rise through its central conical neck into the collection reservoir. The ROP-CC-REGAL200 features a precisely sized inner neck riser that encourages dry or wet foam head accumulation, while the surrounding reservoir holds high-capacity waste. A built-in lower drain port provides the flexibility to run the cup sealed with the included silicone plug, or connected via flexible tubing to an auxiliary waste container or auto-shutoff reservoir. Because collection cups are handled frequently during regular tank maintenance, accidents happen—cups can be dropped on tile floors, neck flanges can chip, or aggressive scrubbing with abrasive pads can permanently cloud or scratch the acrylic. This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:
- To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
- To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
- To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by other than CoralVue, Inc.
- That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.
- That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
- Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the product defect.
Installation & Maintenance Guidelines:
Turn off or pause the VarioS skimmer pump using the controller feed mode.
If using the external drain, disconnect the drain hose from the old cup barb.
Grasp the old cup with both hands and lift it straight upward off the skimmer body neck.
Wipe the top lip of the skimmer body neck with a damp cloth to clear any dried salt crust or organic slime.
Rinse the new ROP-CC-REGAL200 collection cup and lid under lukewarm freshwater to remove any packaging dust.
If routing waste to an external collector, attach your vinyl drain hose to the cup's drain port barb; if collecting waste inside the cup, ensure the drain plug is securely inserted.
Align the cup squarely over the skimmer body neck and press down evenly until fully seated.
Place the vented lid on top and resume pump operation on your controller.
Pro Tips:
- Clean Using Only Warm Water and a Soft Microfiber Sponge. Cast acrylic will scratch easily if cleaned with abrasive scouring pads, and it will develop micro-fractures (crazing) if exposed to rubbing alcohol, acetone, or standard household glass cleaners. Always clean the internal neck and cup walls with warm tap water or a diluted citric acid soak, using a soft microfiber cloth or dedicated acrylic-safe cleaning brush.
- Keep the Inner Neck Riser Free of Organic Biofilm. A layer of dense organic grease inside the collection cup neck creates surface friction that prevents rising foam heads from rolling cleanly over into the cup, leading to premature bubble collapse. Wiping the inner neck clean every 3 to 4 days—even if the main reservoir cup is not full—ensures consistent, efficient waste export.
